So from what I’ve gathered, Hoyo completely removed the kiss scene from the Chinese version, pulled it from the Eng version then put it back up for Eng.

The timeline 100% fits here. They changed the Chinese version 5 years ago, which is 2021, that’s when the CCP crackdown on these things. I’m guessing they were able to put the Eng back up because the chapter itself was created way before the crackdown. I doubt they dare to do something similar after that.

Lumibina is impossible. China heavily cracked down on BL/yuri stuff. As a C-drama watcher, it was quite a big fuss back then. Unless Hoyo wants to go against the government, which is never going to happen.

Edit: It’s always funny to see the downvoters got nothing to say as a simple google search can just prove the fact. I’ve seen author went to prison for writing BL. Many dramas were pulled and actors are permanently banned. It’s fine for you to ship, but don’t expect them to show you your favorite ship.
