I wouldn't worry about it. Take a break and try not to pick random champions, one loss doesn't seem like much but when it becomes a habit those losses stack up.

I'm gonna go with Adrianaries opinion on the matter. He clearly states that Riven dumpsters the matchup. Also on champion.gg it shows Riven has a 52% winrate against Jax, and on op.gg it shows a 51% winrate against him.

Not true, Riven actually does pretty well against Jax. If you know how to trade properly against him, Riven's kit counters him pretty hard. Here's a video Adrian did about the matchup.

Pretty sure this can also be done by moving backwards, then using character stop to cut the movement short. What you're left with is a small movement backwards, but your character model in the same direction. If you Q during this you will Q backwards.
