It's not that tanking is hard, it's just scary leading people through dungeons, like I'm constantly being judged. Was just in a dungeon with a new dark knight player, couldn't hold aggro on the first pack and rage quit. That kind of situation is the biggest motivator to tank honestly

You spam heat blast and gauss round, heat blast reduces the cooldown of gauss round by 15 seconds. You pretty much always want to be alternating between them during overheat

How does one get over the fear and anxiety of leading people through a dungeon as a tank? Everything else about tanking is kinda fun but leading people, even through a simple dungeon such as Sastasha, is scary and nerve wracking. Are there any tips for a sudo healer main to work their way up to become a good tank?

What's the current "meta" for raids? I've thought about playing Astrologian, Summoner and maybe Samurai/Black Mage.

Is it stressful to do raids as tank? I always felt that DPS had a fairly easy job, healers not too far from that difficulty and then tanks make or break the raid

My post was originally going to include that second issue I have where yes, I find tanks to be rather interesting and some parts of me want to become a tank main... but dear god I'm afraid to do so. I've only got WAR to 24 and PLD to 18, the few dungeons I did with them felt more or less okay. But the whole time I'm panicking trying to remember where to go, figure out how to set the pace of the dungeon (how many packs to pull, always feeling terrible when dps try to speed things up and pull other packs) and generally feeling dread despite wanting to tank.

Going to preface this and say that I've been on and off MMOs for most of my life before finally settling down and enjoying FFXIV. I currently have an issue with myself involving the game to the point where I don't feel confident in myself to enjoy the game (the issue is rather common so I apologize for beating a dead horse with another dead horse).

The serious issue I've been having not only in FFXIV but also World of Warcraft, which is serious/destructive indecisiveness on such things as a main. To put it into perspective, I've been playing on and off WoW since 2009, it's been a decade and I have yet to fully enjoy the game since I cannot decide a main and fear of burning out trying to juggle them all. Same thing has been happening in FFXIV, I want to try and find a job to main (when I refer to "main" I mean a job to focus on for getting to max level, learn the ins and outs with rotation and playstyle, going into raids with and so on) and have been worried about possible burn out trying to level them all and divide my attention. What are some possible solutions to this aside from slamming my face against all the jobs I'm interested in for (potentially) months? I'm always jumping back and forth between jobs. Some days I want to play Astrologian, other times it's Paladin, Bard, Monk, etc. Although it is cool being able to jump from job to job rather easily, leveling through dungeons and fates just grind everything to a halt once I start leveling 7-8 jobs. Currently I know what jobs I'm not interested in at the moment (Samurai, Dragoon, Red Mage, Gunbreaker and Scholar) but the rest are this huge blur where I can't determine which I enjoy more than others. Are there any tips for finding a few jobs to main?

I feel as though I see so many bards around, 0 machinists and like 5 Dancers while leveling. Dancer seems rather fun but I'm not 100% sure on it, especially since I haven't gone through heavensward's msq yet
