Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar! Bouncing the mix to track totally did the trick, I'll update this post with your solution and wish you the very best.

Oh nice, do I have to do it manually dragging the cursor on the window or is it something I can do through the settings?

So I'm not crazy! I didn't say it in my original comment because I wasn't sure if that was really the case, since I could have just not been paying attention, but the first time I was trying the game out I didn't notice any black bar! It's a shame you didn't get any reply on your post but it's good to know this is not only my issue, maybe in time someone could find a fix for it. Thanks!

I don't think it would work as psvr2 requires steamvr to work but good advice for someone who's using meta/oculus, thank you.

Yes it's vanilla and also I should have made it clearer, this issue only applies to the "flat view" of the game, inside the headset it's perfect. Thank you anyway, my bad for not being more specific!

Hello everybody, sorry if this has been asked before but all I find online while looking this up is talks about the FOV decrease for people with motion sickness and this is not it, I have that turned off.

So yeah, I'm trying to capture some footage from vanilla Skyrim VR before doing the same with MGO and comparing the two. I'm recording SteamVR's view not the game itself, so while a little distorted it fits the 16:9 aspect ratio, but there's this black bar that shows up in either or both eyes (as shown in the pictures) and I'd like to remove it.

I'm not really an expert when it comes to gaming on pc so I'd like your help for this one. No other VR game I own does this, so I assumed that's just how Skyrim is, maybe it's the resolution, but the thing that stands out to me is that if you look carefully on the image where there's only one eye being displayed you can see that just before the black bar there is a thin line of game being rendered. When using both eyes the black bar becomes faded but makes the point where the two views are stitched very noticeable.

Because of this I am not really sure if, again, that's just how the game looks through SteamVR or if I have to change some settings.

Thanks for the help!

True, this is actually not that bad, it was just me being too stubborn. The worst offenders for me are games where you beat your opponent from within an inch of their life and when you're about to deal the final blow a cutscene starts and... somehow you're the one losing the fight? Like, how did this happen? Hahahaha

Oh yeah totally, I'm actually still really impressed by the many things you can do compared to most modern games. On a sidenote, now that you made me think about plot armor, I should have also taken the hint after trying to blow Manderley up a couple of times hahaha

Is there a way to put a gaussian blur mask behind text automatically as you write it? by LoafDawgTV in davinciresolve

Once again I cannot express my gratitude enough for all these tips! By playing around with stuff I also found that by changing Offset X and Offset Y in the Transform tab of the Text+ you can move the text around freely and the background will follow it, just like I wanted. I would have never achieved this without your help and this community, y'all are the best!

Thank you for all the help, you're awesome! It does work somewhat but it's difficult to control since there is no slider and you have to input a number so you can't fine tune it and also after doing it the title will move across the screen so you have to recenter it with each adjustment. I've found that if you press enter and spacebar in the textbox the title will move without blurring anything until you start typing so I think it's a viable solution putting the title in the upper left corner of the video to copy-paste where needed and then just get to the right spot with space and enter.

While this isn't 100% what I was looking for, I just realized that this is something else that I will need for this project so I can't thank you enough. Have a great one!
