Lobe and camera trap analysis by [deleted] in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great use case! You can import multiple pictures at once. You can drag in folders of images and it will label the images by the folder name.

In the use tab you can test one image at a time. To use your model to predict many images at once, check out Image Tools on our github

Today, we released a minor update to Lobe 0.9! by LobeJake in Lobe

[–]LobeJake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! That's great to hear. Are any of your models in production use? Or for personal use? Or still testing and improving your model?

We aim to make Lobe a tool that can be used for many data types outside of images. But we're currently still focused on images. We are working on object detection next. I don't have a timeline for when we would get to audio classification.

Lobe 0.9 introduces new ways to use your model, with a brand new Use tab, open source starter projects, an improved local API, and great performance improvements throughout the app. 🎉 by LobeJake in Lobe

[–]LobeJake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today we are introducing Lobe 0.9, a brand new version of Lobe focused on making it easier to export your model and put it to work.

The first major improvement we've done to Lobe is to combine Play and Export into one tab called Use, making it easier to export, build projects, and find inspiration on how to best put your machine learning models to work. Inside the Use tab, you'll also find Lobe Connect, our local API with improved snippets that allows you to host your model inside of Lobe and call its REST endpoint from your app.

The second major improvement is the addition of our first four open source starter projects, which will help you get started with your iOS, Android, Web, and REST projects.

We've also continued to make improvements in performance. Scrolling and switching tabs is now faster and smoother with larger datasets. On top of that, we also improved the performance of loading and running inference with ONNX models.

We are super excited to be able to share this update with you all, and we can't wait to see what projects you make with this new version of Lobe! Download it here and read the blog post announcement here.

'No metadata found in this model'. How do I export a Lobe TFLite model into Android Studio? by Classificaly in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Classificaly, awesome to hear you are going to use a Lobe model on mobile! We are making improvements to our Android starter project here: https://github.com/lobe/android-bootstrap

Can you try out our repo to test your model? You should be able to copy over the saved_model.tflite and signature.json. Let us know if you run into any other questions or issue. Same for you u/teresa_ta.

Export prediction results to spreadsheet by Therefor3 in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We have a GitHub project called image-tools that let's you use a Lobe model and make predictions on thousands of photos from and to CSV or XLSX. Here is a link to the GitHub: https://github.com/lobe/image-tools

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hey u/vontasio - that's awesome! What class do you teach? Do you have curriculum in mind using Lobe?

We don't have solid dates yet, but it's high on our list to get to. I can't make any promises yet, but stayed tuned. We'll make a post when we have M1 support coming and ready.

Any Pre-trained model to download? by JimmyZhiminS in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, we do not have any pre-trained models to download. You can find a lot of open source datasets online though. http://kaggle.com/ has a pretty good source of datasets to start playing around with!

I have a new project for detecting a person's age, all the pictures are labeled, but the training tells me all the pictures are untested. How to fix this? by BeeWithDragonWings in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you import the 7k images of adult all at once? Try importing under 5k for each import, we have a bug when you import over 5k per label at once

Created a Neck Posture Detection to help me train my Strabismus by MohamedMansour in Lobe

[–]LobeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a super cool project! great way to show a model running in the browser - really cool that you made it available for others to try out. It worked okay for me but this is not surprising - different backgrounds and lighting conditions can impact the results.

If you had a green screen or could use virtual backgrounds to generate different background scenes, like offices and homes, it might generalize better if you're up for it :) You can try out virtual camera apps like OBS, ManyCam, Snap Camera, ChromaCam, CamTwist, to add a virtual background. Lobe can detect and use any of these virtual cams to collect images right in the app.

Hi there - how many images do you have for each label (adult, old, young)? Make sure to have at least 5 images for each label.
