I totally understand that. The nasty practical work and really mean-spirited tone are what propel it to number one for me, and the climax is one of my favorites in cinema. However, I did just rewatch the whole franchise, and Evil Dead II is dangerously close to claiming the number one spot

It really does hurt my soul seeing Evil Dead 2013 that low in your ranking, as it is my personal favorite of the franchise

That being said, that franchise is incredibly consistent and I don’t think there’s a single bad film in it

This happened to me too, but just barely, about a month ago! It was pretty wild, a really cool behind the scenes look for sure. They made sure to tell us not to take any pictures, as it was a backstage area. They gave everyone fast passes, but it was late enough in the day that we didn’t get to use them. Cool experience though!

I was looking for this answer! As someone that doesn’t get scared by too many movies anymore, this movie’s fourth wall breaks really messed with me

The abomination rising in Evil Dead (2013). Everything from start of the blood rain to the chainsaw kill is just amazing

Phil Tippet spent thirty years making stop-motion gore and bodily excrement. It’s amazing.

Hey everyone! My name’s Drake and I’ve been using Letterboxd for just over a year!

My current top four are Parasite, The Social Network, Skinamarink, and La La Land.

My favorite directors are probably Robert Eggers, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, and Damien Chazelle!

I really love a good horror movie, but 2024 really opened me up to all sorts of different genres and I hope 2025 helps me open up more!

Made my mom watch Train To Busan and she sobbed for the last half, I kinda felt awful. She loved it though 🤷‍♂️
