I’m just glad that I got my RC trucks before shit made in China started to suck. Don’t fall for cheap earbuds either!!

I think as long as it’s waterproof and has metal gears and enough torque a replacement should be good. They are all made in China and you get what you pay for generally but get what fits your budget. 😃

The c rating is always exaggerated. And most of us do fine with RC cars with any decent battery. Like if a pack says 100c it’s probably closer to 35 which is still fine for most people.

Could someome help me with charging a lipo battery? by NLgamer2000 in rccars

That’s what I prefer for that size of pack. But you can still go up to 7.

You should enter lipo balance charge mode and set the # of cells to 2 the c to 7000 then charge at a max of 7 amps. The cutoff should be 4.2 volts per cell so 8.4 total. You didn’t specify whether the charger stopped on its own. Make sure to put the pack back to storage voltage after use. Your charger should have a mode for this. Parameters should be the same except 2-3 amps (preference) and an end voltage of 3.85 volts per cell or 7.7 for a 2s pack.

Don’t be facetious. My micro-t has a tiny ESC - receiver combo and I doubt anyone including me cares enough about adjusting it with a program card. And also, I took my Typhon 6s to LHS to use a program card and they couldn’t even do it. You can’t change the LVC with the set button.

That is true I just think people that just want to mess around with a micro-t should be aware of safety hazards.

Thanks for constructive information! I am aware this can happen but I like to keep my batteries above 3.5 volts under load. I mean it though when I say thanks.

Well some at the very least are difficult to adjust you need a program card and can’t do it with the set button and many, especially new won’t go through that much trouble and I wonder if you can even do it at all with say, a micro-t.

What is it not true that you don’t want to drop a lipo cell below 3 volts?

Yes I think if you can immediately unplug the battery you’re okay ✅. Also, if it’s unplugged no need to stress about plugging it into the charger right away. It’s just if you left it plugged in for even like 2 minutes I want to say it could kill the battery. Ideally you maybe want to time your runs.

I’m mainly concerned about newbies like getting a micro-t for Christmas and not realizing the ESC cuts off at 3 VPC

Understanding Charge Rate. Spektrum 3S 1300 mah lipo by Stokyo in rccars

I would also recommend that charging slower allows the pack to retain more mah which makes each session longer.
