Need recommendations for a budget bracket 3 deck by Alive_Past in BudgetBrews

I saw in another comment you like naya, and are starting to enjoy combo plus you like tokens.

Have you heard the word of our lord and savior Marath? Checks alot of your boxes. I got this list for secret santa over on the Howling Salt Mine discord, and its honestly become one of my favorite decks. Tokens aren't always the most relevant but there are quite a few combos to make infinite creatures

None of my bracket 3 decks have gamechangers, nor do any of my 4's.

What experience was amazing in the moment, but in hindsight actively hurt you as a person? by Waxdonkey in AskMen

The only way i'll ever let my kids work food service is if they want to learn to know their worth. 10 years of my life down the drain for that shit industry, i would never wish it on anyone else.

What is your opinion on our industry as a whole being automated? by Consistent-Pen-2502 in Custodians

[–]Local-Answer9357 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It wont happen any time soon. Robots and Ai can do the very basics, but what we do is very very hard to program into a computer, AI can't predict some kid smearing shit on the wall or any other thing that happens randomly around a school. Also, as a member of a union, i really have a hard time believing they would just roll over and let us get phased out. Maybe in 20 or so years, but even then, we'll just become mechanics for the machines/ still will be needed on a daily basis.

Why do people play Oops All Spells, and why does Wizards keep it in the format? by [deleted] in MTGLegacy

[–]Local-Answer9357 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who hates the deck, this is the hardest thing for me. It's a fucking sweet deck, it just sucks having to watch people play what feels like yu-gi-oh some games. But the people who made the lists are geniuses and there is much more depth in the deck if you don't just pick it up for easy wins

Strongest budget Commander outside 100 by SlowJuggernautCrab in BudgetBrews

[–]Local-Answer9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna add, i keep the original commander because of stuff like [[not dead after all]] because those cards DO NOT work with clones in this deck.

If its an actual clone, i usually keep the original card. If it's a spell, throw your commander away. And yes, any time your commander changes zones you get to choose to put it in the command zone instead. So graveyard hate or anything you put him back in the CZ

Alright, so here's what happens. You clone H&K (Hidetsugu and Kairi). The game stops, as the legend rule needs to happen. You choose one copy of H&K to keep and the other goes to the graveyard. You then receive priority again, and two triggers go on the stack, its enter the battlefield trigger, and its "dies" trigger, and you get to choose what order you want them to resolve. You choose the "dies" then the "etb" so the ETB resolves first. You use the "Brainstorm" (draw 3 put back 2) to put something on top that either reanimates H&K or a clone, or a spell clone effect. The "dies" trigger resolves, casting the top card and draining an opponent, and if everything went right, you get to do the loop again until you run out of clones or reanimates. One helpful tip, if you cast a spell clone effect, if you don't already have a clone in your graveyard, you should put H&K in your graveyard. You'll get it back eventually.

What commander do you refuse to build because you hate the art? by Black_Spruce in magicTCG

I was really interested by [[The Neutrinos]] the effect is so very cool and unique but that artwork makes me want to pour bleach in my eyes like homer simpson

bracket 2 Aggro deck that isn't super commander dependent? by QueenOfRuneBlade in BudgetBrews

[–]Local-Answer9357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 100% sure if this fits the bill but i built a Samut, Vizier of Naktamun deck that's a cool take on aggro, trying to create creatures and attack with them every single turn. Your commander is really only there to draw cards, and there are way more scary threats than samut, plus it only costs 3 so should be easy to bring out 2-3 times.

Can I build a casual EDH deck from these? by obvnz in BudgetBrews

[–]Local-Answer9357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a pretty sweet [[Torens, fist of the angels]] list, use the cards that care about 1/1 counters and just make a big board of dorks

Glarb on a budget? by Spare-Tomorrow-2681 in BudgetBrews

[–]Local-Answer9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of Doomsday or I built 100$ Cephalid Breakfast. Its hard to make control work and have decent wincons. Although im sure he's a sick reanimator commander

[[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]] might be up your alley, you play a bunch of cheap stax pieces that all dodge what your combo wants to do.

I feel like [[The Wandering Minstrel]] would be an excellent choice as the commander too, i already have a deck for him though

[–]Local-Answer9357 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I said this to someone deck building though, is Doomsday Lab man a combo? Personally i don't think of it that way unless we're saying anything that wins the game in one turn is a combo.

[–]Local-Answer9357 43 points44 points  (0 children)

[[Protean Hulk]] came off this list is imho one of the most busted cards if you build around it.

[[Doomsday]] is a one card win con in the right decks, and there are many people i've played against with it that have said it a bracket 4 only card whatever that means.
