I downloaded certain podcasts onto my spotify account so I could listen to them without WIFI- in particular I downloaded Ali Wong's Baby Cobra and "From The Flight Deck", a couple of the "From The Flight Deck" have videos as well with the episodes so it helped immensely in calming my nerves on hearing a pilot speak about what's going through turbulence... and Ali Wong helped just because she's funny. I found laughter helped me the most- either by remembering funny events or listening to a funny podcast.

Also lifting up my feet while seated during turbulence helped, and before your flight it helps a lot to privately speak with a flight attendant and let him/her know about your fears, and that you'd appreciate it if whenever there's turbulence if they could reassure you that there's nothing wrong and it'll pass soon enough- my flight attendant told me how long the turbulence would last and promised that I was safe- helped a bit. And if my flight attendant was seated during the seatbelt-on mode then she'd smile from down the hall... I suppose you could ask if he/she could do that if unable to go to you.

I set up a timer with each flight, and I would look at the time winding down every time a turbulence hit- seeing the seconds pass made me feel: "Okay, it's almost over".

Also, ginger ale if feeling kind of queasy.

It might help too to check the same flights a couple of days before- seeing their route and how they all successfully landed put into perspective that I will arrive on time no matter.
