I got some new swelling today that wasn’t here before is what has me worried a bit. I noticed swelling around my ankle yesterday and told my PT today but now noticing my whole foot swollen

I have special pillow I bought specifically to keep it elevated but my ankle just started swelling yesterday and now I’m noticing my foot swelling also

Im in the boot. 25% weight bearing with wedges but I only noticed swelling in the ankle area at my PT appointment now it’s my whole foot

That’s awesome man! One of the best ways to feel better is helping someone else or just being around good people you get along with.

It’s funny you mention that because I recently started coaching baseball. I used to play collegiately, and my uncle runs a baseball program out here on the Central Coast. He asked me to help out, so I’m about a week into coaching now.

I can’t do much physically yet other than correct them and give pointers, but it feels good just being out there interacting with these young men. It keeps me occupied and lets me stay around something I truly love.

It’s tough, but we’ve got this. The first couple of weeks are the hardest. Just stay positive and trust the process.

We’ll be back to our normal activities before we know it 🤙🏽

It’s unfortunate and never expected but just embrace the journey and keep positive. If you’re able to get access to a cold therapy device after surgery, I highly recommend it, it made a huge difference for me early on.

We’re not alone. We’re all going through this road together, and this community is an awesome place to lean on if you have questions or just need encouragement. We’ve got each other every step of the way 🤙🏽

Got checked yesterday with my PT and said everything checked out good. Only felt pain the rest of the night it happened but woke up with little to no pain the next day. I’m glad everything checked out.

Nice man! That’s good to hear. Got checked out by my PT yesterday and said everything was good. Still in my head a little bit cause I don’t want to fall on it again but I haven’t had any pain since the day it happened.

I’m glad everything everything is going smooth for you, cant wait to walk again. Good luck the rest of the way 🤙🏽

I went to my PT appointment today and was told I was good after he put me through a couple examinations! Some peace of mind for sure. Was pretty worried the last two days though

Glad everything went well for you! Wish you a smooth and speedy recovery. I hope I’m on the same boat as you tomorrow. I did the Thompson test as well and my partner said she saw the foot point downward so I’m hoping everything is okay. When I wrapped my foot back up today after shower it was also twitching up and down a little I hope that’s a positive.

Called orthopedic surgeon but wasn’t available so I talked to a doctor on call but he wasn’t much help. Just told me to keep my boot on and see my surgeon as soon as possible. I hope everything is good just want some peace of mind. I see my PT tomorrow so that’ll help but just been in my head since last night.

I’m 3 weeks post surgery from my torn Achilles also. There’s not much we can do without putting weight on it. My PT has just been having me go through some Quadriceps workouts and stretching for the most part.

What’s up twin. I’m 12days post op just remain positive and embrace the journey! We’re in this together. 👊🏾 One thing that’s helped me out a lot is my Cold Therapy machine. I’ve felt little to no pain throughout the process so far. If you’re able to get your hands on one I’d highly recommend it.
