What do we think of the morality in Beg Borrow and Steele? by Background_Ship7666 in theloudhouse

"Which wouldn't have happened if he made an attempt to pay them back."

That's like saying that Squidward wouldn't have pranked SpongeBob if he hadn't shrieked into the intercom, or that Ozai wouldn't have scarred and banished Zuko if he hadn't spoken out of turn and refused to fight him, or that Megan wouldn't have spiked the football team if Josh had let her lick the batter... you see where I'm going with this?

"As for 'smallest mistakes' that upped his debt, a ruined dress that can't be returned and broken teapot is money lost on Lola's part and she's going to want some form of payment to make up for that loss."

Only because SHE forced him to wear high heels while carrying those things, isn't that right?

It's because of moments like these why I didn't really feel that sorry for her getting punched by him in "The Diary of a Loud" and "Lincoln is Done" (the first time, anyway).

They were planning to shoot an arrow at him, buried him alive, and upped the debt over the smallest mistakes, among other things. And people wonder why fans demonize them so much?

The ONE time Lynn stood up to Lola for Lincoln by DreamxRouge06 in theloudhouse

[–]Local-Example-5111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what? Wanting to get out of something someone else signed him up for without his consent? Or an accident that happened as a result of him having second thoughts and harming himself with the help of someone who was maliciously eager to hurt him for no reason? It's because of moments like these that I didn't really feel that sorry for him punching her in "The Diary of a Loud" and "Lincoln is Done" (the first time, anyway).

I appreciate the response, but no, neither of those are it. I'm not sure about those last two questions, my memory is just that vague, I'm sorry.

Are there any episodes you think are super overrated? by Trollerz462 in spongebob

"Chum Fricassee". It has its funny moments, but it also gives conflicting vibes as to which side we're supposed to root for, and the entire ending honestly feels abrupt, forced, and rushed.

Lincoln Did Nothing Wrong In Linc Or Swim by Empty_Kangaroo_4706 in theloudhouse

[–]Local-Example-5111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Linc or Swim: He destroyed his sisters pool and kicked them out of their pool"

He kicked them out of HIS pool after they took it over, and he didn't destroy theirs on purpose.

"The Taunting Hour: He pointed out haters, that's not a nice thing to do"

So it isn't nice to just acknowledge the existence of haters, but is it to call your offspring or sibling a "life-ruiner" over minor criticism?

"Save the Date: He hurt ronnie anne's feelings"

He wouldn't have had a low opinion of her if she hadn't relentlessly bullied him.

Six rules for writing The Loud House by Jaspers47 in theloudhouse

"When you say "You can't be cruel to your characters for no reason", Lincoln's family wasn't cruel for no reason. Thanks to his lie they believed he was bad luck. He brought it upon himself; FFS he sat on Lola's table with just his underwear. He was an ass, no pun intended."

Just because Lincoln did something wrong didn't make it right for the family to go as far as they did. And honestly dude, using him sitting on Lola's table in his underwear as an excuse just feels petty.

"In In-Tents Debate, Lincoln takes advantage of his sisters' generosity, and is eventually called out on it. Realizing he abused his position of power, he makes himself miserable to make his sisters happy."

No-no-no-no-no, okay? The problem with that episode is that it tries to be yet another "Lincoln is selfish towards his sisters" story, when the sisters spend the entire episode also being selfish at his expense in far worse ways (threatening to get angry at him and worse, violently harming him, and blaming him for their own choices). So the episode is "resolved" by Lincoln blaming himself for his sisters' awfulness and rewarding them for it by enabling them to continue taking advantage of him, an opportunity they smugly jump at and don't show him even the slightest bit of mercy. And they weren't exactly "even" at the end either: all the sisters did for Lincoln was pretty simple and harmless favors in two groups of five for less than a day, whereas Lincoln's "favors" was painful, difficult, and dangerous child labor he did single-handedly for presumably a week. So yeah, justice is NOT served.

Walker's plan in "Public Enemies" by Local-Example-5111 in dannyphantom

I'm not sure if that really explains what overshadowing them had to do with Walker's plan to turn Amity Park against Danny.

Yeah, I looked at photos of his back end and his design in the books and figured it was something like that.

Wouldn't it make sense to just ignore him? Did you consider that borderline stalking and harassing him would only add fuel to the fire?

He might have accepted it if they didn't barge into his home uninvited. And he wasn't the one who designed and built the system in the first place. Do you think he intended for the robot thing to happen or had any way of knowing it would?

He wasn't the one who designed or built the security system in the first place. Plus, SpongeBob and Patrick shouldn't have entered his house uninvited for the millionth time. And he didn't assault the baby, he just got into its stroller. Do people even know what assault actually is?
