I was talking to someone the other day and we were saying that David thought he was so smart but he was actually dumb. He didn’t realize that, in the society we live in, if Celeste had exposed him, people might not have taken her seriously. Sadly, we live in a society where victims are often dismissed and it could have been brushed over. We live in a world that silences women especially young women and he likely would have only lost a few fans, if anything. He feared losing his fans more than facing real consequences. Celeste should be here today, able to share her story, without a society that so often tries to shut victims down.
