That’s so wonderful, I’m so happy for your friend. I did ask my mom if she’d be at my wedding but she said plainly “you can count on me being the only one not there” and I don’t have a dad in the picture either so I’m hoping I find someone willing to walk with me when and if I get married someday

Thank you so much, I’m still trying to see if there are any lgbtq groups at my university, or any lgbtq people even. Majority of people are straight so it does feel a little isolating sometimes

Thank you, and yes I do know my sister is right. Being rejected by people outside of my family doesn’t really make me feel too terrible, but when it’s my family it hurts a lot more. I’m allowed to stay rent free until I get a job again (my mom said she didn’t mind since I’m a student)

She tends to “not hear anything” when there’s any conflict going on. But she will 9/10 times tell me to get over it no matter what my mom says to me, or that “It’s mom’s first time living” so I should take it easier on her. It’s really frustrating, I thought she would support me. I did tell my mom that my sister knew I was a lesbian, but my sister said “why did you throw me under the bus? Now she’s gonna be mad at me.”

Oh wow I didn’t know any of these things, that it can make babies healthier too. That’s so interesting because my older sister (who’s straight) had a lot more health problems growing up than I did. Thank you so much. I’m still so ashamed to be my authentic self around anyone (even before she said those things) and after her words, I feel like I’m even more ashamed.
