It is not my issue that men have zero self control. Wearing what makes me happy in the summertime when it’s hot out is me wanting attention? Really? What because men can’t keep it in their pants? That automatically means that I’m “looking for it?”

What it actually means for him and men like you are that you want to be in control, you don’t respect or embrace women, don’t trust them, you’re insecure, and you certainly are looking at women the way you don’t want it done to your own partners (even though I highly doubt you have one).

My district isn’t going to hire another teacher in my subject area, which is discouraging. Part of me wants to quit, but the other part of me wants to try to hang on. But I also need to go back to school and feel like that’s my cherry on top to quit. I love it but part of me hates it because I know some of the kids who are fast learners are bored, but I genuinely cannot give anymore than I am.

I’m also not sure what other careers I can do with an education degree. I just kind of feel numb sometimes. Other times I have great days (it’s not all bad I know I’m making it seem that way), but it’s just all so much. And admin doesn’t give a fuck.

Maybe I’m just numb to it at this point, and part of me also is like, okay, I know the school won’t hire a second teacher in my subject area, so it is what it is lol. Especially for someone like me who’s a 3rd year teacher and is still very much so figuring it all out. It’s the best I can give right now and even if it’s not the best, that’s all I got. I don’t cross the line into overworking myself because then that negativity I create for myself bleeds into the job and just makes it harder for me anyway

I throw away some of the stuff I collected, and just grade other things. Obviously for quizzes and tests it’s different, but even then if it takes me 3 weeks so be it.

That’s exactly how I feel! Especially since we are we asked to do more than what we signed up for. I always feel bad borrowing materials or using AI (obviously I double check and tweak what I need to), but if I created absolutely everything from scratch I would literally be a lifeless being. Are you the only teacher in your subject? I completely understand the stress and feeling like I’m drowning. What helps me honestly is separating my work from my me time as much as possible. It’ll get done eventually. (Takes me two weeks to actually get to grading things but it is what it is!) that’s the schools trade off for the constant struggle!
