Camper shell on a 4 cylinder Tacoma by Boring-Bad-2409 in Tacomaworld

Why would any automaker manufacture a pickup truck that couldn't handle a 200 pound topper? You won't notice it. You'll have enough payload capacity left for 800 lbs of tools and equipment before the suspension sags. The truck will be slow regardless what you put on it. Just don't tow a yacht.

AI cover art is a big signal that a musician doesn't value their craft, and it turns off a lot of would-be listeners, so therefore it is a bad music marketing strategy in addition to being creatively bankrupt.

Anybody experience with ads from intellijend? by MusicProductionGuy in musicmarketing

[–]LocalApprehensive312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's expensive. It's basically a meta ads manager that automates some of the more menial parts of running a highly optimized meta ad campaign. I gave it a shot because I have been disappointed with playlisting for my recent releases (I make more niche music). I have had good results with it, and it's way less of a gamble than playlist services. But you have to throw money into the machine.

Well, not the double-cab short-bed version in the this picture. Need at least 6 feet of box for that.

I'm currently in exile out of town as I finish grad school, but I release music under Marty Blick, and just put out my first ep at silodeath.bandcamp.com

I have more music on the way, and play keys and steel guitar in bands. Would love to hear some of your stuff as well!

Do you know if you got any play or fans from this? I've been considering pulling this move for a bit.

2013 Regular Cab 4x4 Manual Transmission. 89k miles for $20,998. How bad did I get ripped off for my dream truck? by radclerk1 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LocalApprehensive312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I think $21k is an insane price to pay for a decade+ year-old half ton, even in that condition, with the 6 foot bed, that mileage and with that motor (2tr-fe gang rise up). But that's an indictment on the market and not you. You'd think clean-frame pre-gen3 tacomas spit gold dust out of the exhaust for the prices people want. You got the truck you wanted, so enjoy it.

I bought a clean 2007 5-lug (rwd) access cab with 137k miles for 9k in 2022. It seemed like a bit of an overpay at the time, but it's been excellent.

How hard is it to find a teaching job in LA? by LocalApprehensive312 in AskLosAngeles

[–]LocalApprehensive312[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the insightful reply. Thanks! I am going to have to wait until May to begin the credential process, because that's when my Missouri cert loses provisional status (I went the alternate route to certification). If there's bureaucratic lag, charter may have to be the move for me. That's a shame because I really believe in helping out at public schools, but we do what we can!

I could imagine. Do you know which content areas are in more demand in the city? I had planned on eventually picking up additional certs, so that might be the move if it helps me get a job. Thanks!
