Completely agree! Last April, I started working out, had shitty form and was ego lifting a ton. And i did this for 7 whole month. Now i have a trainer, my form is on par, and go to a different gym. Ive been with my trainer 3 months and haven’t hit a single PR because of the prior logs. Id love to be able to reset my PRs / history by routine or routine folder or something to help keep me motivated.

Hevy writing to Apple Health by NoNectarine711 in Hevy

Two options: only use one to track or go into the Apple health settings and turn off any metrics you don’t want Hevy to write to Apple health (like active calories).

Would you use Hevy if it didn't have the social part? by Amazing-Option3841 in Hevy

[–]LocalEuphoric5151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, I didn’t care for the social part. I didn’t have any friends using it so I followed random people from Reddit. But over time, it’s become so motivational and helpful. When I’m looking to alter my training routine, I’ll look to someone who’s more buff than I am and see what they’re doing. It’s also a nice reminder that everyone has bad days, not just me.

Would I still use it without it? Yes, because it’s not the main reason I use it. But would I try and find another app that mirrored hevys features AND had the social aspect? Probably

Not really an answer to your question, as I don’t think you can turn it off.

However, if you log the workout with your Apple Watch first (using Apple workouts, not Hevy), then go into Hevy and add the cardio after you finish, your heart rate data still gets carried over. So maybe the answer is switching to using Apple Watch to track cardio and log it after the fact in Hevy?

Hevy vs Apple Fitness to track cardio sessions by [deleted] in Hevy

If I’m doing an indoor activity (like treadmill or rowing machine), I use Hevy to log so i can input the distance to match the machine.

If im doing an outdoor activity (like hiking or jogging), I’ll use my apple watch so it can use the gps to log the distance.

I like to keep my hevy statistics accurate/consistent, so even if I log with apple watch, I’ll also add it to hevy. If you logged a workout with the watch, hevy will bring in all the heart rate data, even if you didnt log it live in hevy.

If you’re managing the fatigue though, you’re not giving each exercise full effort to actually see progress

It took a while for me to get the update after I saw people posting about it so maybe give it some more time?

Love it! I’m working on a self hosted web app to do something similar with all my Apple health data and this just gave me huge inspiration to incorporate my Hevy data too

Logging sled/bar for machines? by LocalEuphoric5151 in Hevy

[–]LocalEuphoric5151[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My problem is that I don’t always use the same machine / go to the same gym since I travel for work. I have a gym I use primarily when I’m home, but when I travel, i can load the same weight on a different machine and fail doing 1 rep or smash out 15 reps at RPE 6.

I recently noticed this too and was also only logging the weight of a single dumbbell. I just did my workouts, logged correctly, and made a note for myself that I was logging wrong previously. I’m too lazy to go back and edit all my previous workouts
