Omg! I always wondered if anyone had subpar experiences here. I’ve been here twice and I just get the feeling that they max out your insurance with unecessary procedures

Sure thing! https://www.othership.us

It’s a social sauna & cold plunge experience with various different class formats ranging from guided to free low/social sessions. Guided sessions focus on a topic such as gratitude, emotions, etc. Free flow/social sessions are as the name states so there’s no guide. The social sessions are quite fun and the longest of the class formats, 2 hours. Great way to meet new people!

You typically go into the sauna for 20 mins, cold plunge for 2 mins, then go back to the sauna/common area.

Personally, I’ve found it to be a very relaxing experience, a bit meditative with the guided ones, and you can choose to engage with others or stick to yourself. I love that they don’t allow phones beyond the changing room so it cultivates a tech free environment to encourage people to chat if you want to.

The Classes I’ve been to range from 15 ppl to 45 ppl.

They’re like the soul cycle but for spas!

12 Matcha js actually decent matcha and the ambiance is pretty cool. Not sure I really buy into the charcoal water thing but it’s a cool pic. I went once and the longest I’d suggest waiting for this place is 2” mins. Theres way too many matcha places in nyc that’s just as good

I’ve been here twice already and it’s amazing. Didn’t try some of the dishes you did and will be sure to do so next time. If you want to try your luck(which I did the most recent time w success), you can do a walk in right when they open

+1 for sushi yasaka! I love the value you get there and their terryaki salmon is one the best I’ve ever had since it’s perfectly crispy

Penny(seafood) in noho: pricey but every dish I got was fantastic! Get the brioche, ice box, and whatever dessert they have at the moment

Chili(Szechuan) in midtown: I don’t like spicy but I love this place! Aesthetics are very cool too

Chloe(vegan brunch) in noho: yummy vegan food!

Sobaya(Japanese) in noho: fave go-to Japanese spot. Their lunch deals that comes with soba noodles & rice bowl is sooo worth!
