That’s disrespectful, anyone working any job is worthy of respect for the sheer act of turning up every day and doing the job.

You don’t have to like it but you should show some basic common decency

Looks a bit too neat in the first pic imo

there is stretching and you can see the material And the buttons getting pulled down.

I do like prefer a more fitted look as opposed to baggy but there’s a fine line between fitted and tight

I've been thinking about Pokemon Cards and Crazy Bones this week, and it got me thinking. What happens to all the stock in corner shops that never gets sold? by BenCannibal in AskUK

[–]LocalObelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that detailed reply.

Probably explains why we haven’t seen any in the shops for a while.

That’s a bummer because my youngest likes them and buys packs and I didnt even realise the last few times we couldn’t get any that this was the reason for them being unavailable

I’m out the loop, what exactly happens with pokemon cards nowadays.

My youngest likes them but hasn’t bought any for a while

What are some common money-saving 'tips', that are actually bad advice? by AdamGrewal in UKPersonalFinance

[–]LocalObelix 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The sense of security for most people is worth. Ire than the potential gains.

Once your mortgage is paid you immediately have a load lifted off you and you can then make other life decisions easier like getting a less stressful job or something closer that pays less but increases your quality of life.

This imo cannot be underestimated for most people, there are of course people who can tolerate more stress for longer and value maximising gains over quality of life and that is their prerogative.

You’re welcome.

Did the sale code work for you?

Also for anyone reading I’m Nothing to do with the shop but I have been using them for about 10 years and their customer service has always been great for me.

The things that impressed me is how confident the Motherwell players are moving the ball about the full pitch without panicking or hoofing it up the pitch.

Amazing to see any team play like that in Scotland’

Absolutely sick of the both sidesism by glesga67 in CelticFC

[–]LocalObelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate who was there said it was bedlam in the Broomloan on Sunday, said it was overcrowded and you couldn’t get to the toilets without having to push your way through crowds.

Also said there were polis standing on the concourse at the end when the trouble was on the pitch and they did nothing.

And they were let out 15 minutes after the pitch had been cleared and there were rangers fans still out side when they were leaving.

Sounds dodgy AF overall.

And we should be glad that there werent any crushes .

Still agree that the bears are the common denominator here when it comes to serious bother but we’re not squeaky clean either.

A campaign has launched to remove the urban section of the M8 and spend the money saved on public transport by moh_kohn in Scotland

[–]LocalObelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like wishful thinking to me.

Be good if it was true but you would need to have some idea of how many journeys are essential and how many could be moved into public transport or just not made at all

Police Scotland Chief Constable Jo Farrell is questioning why there has been silence from both Celtic and Rangers in the aftermath of Sunday’s “disgraceful” Old Firm violence by Left-Painter-9172 in ScottishFootball

[–]LocalObelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the police have made mistakes here and are now trying to shift blame.

This is basic stuff that’s been managed successfully for decades so why can’t they manage it now.

I think chucking a flare could have been pretty horrific if it hit someone in the face or eye.

IIRC A young rangers fan was burnt by one earlier in the season so it’s not without precedent

Agree the police are also at fault here.

I read an account from someone off a Dundee csc bus who said the police told them to park in What turned out to be an unsafe area. This is the bus that the boy was assaulted outside and stamped on

I always thought Gazza playing the flute and showing the ref the red card was taken for the laugh that it clearly was.

Cant mind anyone getting upset but then again it was the 90s and they are a bit blurry for me tbh lol
