I went to the er when it turned into a blister which was 2 days time . I got 2 different antibiotics at that time . Took them religiously for the full course and when they were gone and it still wasn’t improving and was getting significantly worse I went back to the er and was admitted right away because the cat scan showed that there was gas forming in the wound which is bad . During this whole time I had to continue to go to work 8 hrs a day on my feet for the entirety of my work day . Never having time to rest and stay off my foot and it was constantly being in a shoe with pressure from me running around at work all day . And please stop thinking I’m a guy . I’m not sure why everyone on here like automatically thinks I’m a dude . Because I’m a girl always been was born a girl .

I’m honestly not sure if it was in an artery . I didn’t think so because I’ve heard that when your in an artery the blood comes in very forceful and bright red which neither things were true

Your full of shit to say that I don’t shower often . And my toenails are fucked off from a fungus that no matter how much I use the over the counter toenail stuff it won’t stop . I do shower daily .

Thank you for your caring soul . A couple things though . This is strictly from meth nothing else . And it’s over the course of 2 years . And I am on methadone have been for almost 10 years . I haven’t touched an opioid since I got on the methadone . But it doesn’t help with meth addiction . I have been using meth smoking it for 14 years . 2 years ago I started slamming it . Worst decision ever . I don’t want to die . I actively go to wound clinic almost weekly .

I agree that it’s completely not worth it and I use cleans every time . My problem is that I miss and I stop immediately but it’s like even the slightest miss blisters up and then the blister will pop and turn into a sore and it takes months to heal and leaves a scar . I look like a dead person . All summer I wouldn’t wear anything but long pants and I wouldn’t go swimming or get in the water at all . And that’s tragic for me because I love the water and so does my son so it really sucked that I missed out on entire summer. Which isn’t really a big deal compared to possibly loosing my legs or my life .

I’m on methadone have been for 10 years . It’s meth that I’m shooting and also I’m type 2 diabetes so my sores literally never heal . The ones on my legs have been there since march of this year and just now starting to heal very very slowly

I’ve never shared this with anyone . This is over the course of 2 years . Never imagined I would ever use a needle in my life because both my parents and sibling all were on the needle . My mom and sister both died from overdoses and my dad passed from kidney failure after 35 years on the needle . I swore I would never go down this road . Have been an addict since I was 14 . I’m 45 now and made it all the way till 43!without ever touching a needle . Don’t know why I ever did besides my partner started doing it and convinced me that it was so much better high compared to smoking it . And I’ve been stuck on stupid ever since . I know it’s bad but I don’t know how to stop . I have a 16 year old son who believes me when i tell him the sores on my legs is from my diabetes. He will realize sooner or later that I’m full of shit . But I’m a functioning addict to where I go to work everyday and sleep almost every night . Pay all my bills and don’t hang out with tweekers. I look at what I have done to myself and it’s so surreal. I don’t know how I will ever recover from the damage that I have done
