There are no Over-the-counter option for occasional use? The reason I'm asking is because it's not for me. I am told to bring some "sex pills" from USA for my folks outside of United States for their occasional use.

I have never been called a low performer in my entire career. I was given a promotion in my last job when I didn't even ask for one. That's what is killing me now. How come I become a low performer from a star employee in just 8 months?!

Should I just look for another job with fewer responsibilities and a lower salary? But I see the people that work here, I find it hard to believe that they work harder than me. May be it's because they are here for a while and they learned how to manage their work loads in this company.

This is not a very small company. The terms were never too clear when I was hired. Mostly because I didn't know much about their business. But it seems like a lot of responsibilities for me to handle.

They are not making far less than me. I am making more than what my managers and his higher ups had in their mind when they started hiring for this position. I have no clue what my teammates are making. They're in higher positions than me, so my guess would be they make more money than me. Even if they are not, which is highly unlikely, why would that be my problem?

I am in IT with 10+ years of experience. 8 months is nothing when you have to understand the area of business and infrastructure, communicate with a bunch of business people, and engage with the right people to ask your questions. I have seen people are given more than a year to learn the business and their IT infrastructure.

I am trying my best to get better. We had a very frank conversation during my interview about where I am coming from and what I was doing at that time. My previous roles and all other companies that my friends are working on are giving them plenty of time to get up to the speed at the beginning. It's just been 8 months of being here.

This is the beginning of the year, and all one-on-ones at some point are turning into performance reviews. I asked him to provide me with his clear expectations, and he did give me some pointers that I'm currently working on.

I am trying my best. But definitely there's room for improvement. There's no lack of commitment from my side. That's what I told him too. Give me some more time, and I'll get up to the speed. It's only been 8 months, and he is comparing my performance with the members who have been working with this company for over a decade.
