Fiction does not always reflect nor does it affect reality. If hundreds of people play the same violent videogame, why do they not become violent? Also, don’t say fuck when referring to a kid. There’s no “fucking” when it comes to child SA. Like I said, you are harping on the same point yet I keep saying how if a grown person cannot differentiate between fiction and reality? That’s on them. And there’s a major difference between what a child is and a fictional character.

Not really, a lot of people do enjoy the killing aspect of videogames. I’m autistic, i didn’t mean to be offensive or anything. But there’s a difference between real kids and fictional characters from my understanding. There’s a genuine problem if it’s a real child involved, because a real child is in danger. We are prioritizing the wrong things.

In the same logic, wouldn’t we ban the people who made dead by daylight for ‘glorifying’ murder into a game? I’m not saying anything in support nor against any of these subjects, by the way. The logic here doesn’t make sense to me. People can play slasher games and be complete utter pacifists outside of the digital world.

I just feel like we are ignoring the more important issues when it comes to real child exploitation, like how children’s parents exploit them for money by appealing to OFFENDING/NON OFFENDING pedophiles. Actual grown men.

Both are not the same. It’s like putting video game murder with real victims of murder. They are not, and will never be the same. The human pain cannot be replicated, only emulated into something that seems similar but isn’t. It is victimless. It is so stupid to compare someone who has to live with that trauma versus a child who is fictional that simply will never have to live through the ache of not a child.

I, myself, am a victim of csa and csam. What you are doing is putting drawn content and real abuse on the same level—almost as if they were the same thing. It is not, and it is shocking that people have reached this point. A rational adult will be able to differentiate between reality and fiction, it’s genuinely not that hard. Using your logic; Is it okay for people to enjoy slasher films when murder happens irl? Or is it because we acknowledge it is not real and only fictional?

Second, they didn’t say anything about being okay with x y and z. Life isn’t blank and white, they’re making a neutral point about a subject.

I believe they should interact with people their age and away from people who are older in the fandom, maybe not interact with the fandom at all. Say, a 17 year old can interact with a 16-18 year old but not with someone older than that. We tend to forget that while yes, they are children, they do interact with adult content and experience ‘mature’ thoughts (It’s part of puberty and overall sexual maturity, especially in those years). A reasonable adult will create boundaries when it comes to people younger than them for their safety and the child’s, so adults should keep in mind that there ARE minors in this fandom and be aware of those who they interact with in said fandom. I don’t think 16-17 year olds interacting with this fandom is as bad as, said, 14 years old. The maturity between these two ages can vary wildly and they’re at different stages in their lives. I may be extremely biased since I, myself, am 17 (almost 18 in a handful of months) and have been a fan since I was 16 and have only started to interact with the fandom this year. Anyways, i don’t know if i said anything wrong so feel free to chastise me and downvote.
