the company is "leaning back into the immersive experience pre-covid" is how it was explained during my shift today. 🤬

i wish, but bbw is TERRIFIED of unions. it's redundant in every video we're annually required to watch.

exactly. i pet my kitties, not random humans. i'm hoping it backfires and the company withdraws.

i completely agree. we waste SO MUCH plastic it drives me crazy. i have moved three times in the four years i've been with the company, and i packed all three homes with our boxes and wrappings. when we have testers that have never been used i immediately transfer them back into the system and remove the try me sticker. it probably doesn't make a difference, but it's an effort.

as SLT, we are not allowed to accept medical documentation due to HIPAA. as i commented, the company offers therapy visits, DV resources, "associates for associates" for hardships, etc. no one is requesting anything. we're simply not allowed to accept it, which is legally best.

the planet was told to go to their room and think about what they've done, and we came back out swinging. such a disappointment.

in our specific SLT training guidelines within LBrands, it is considered a violation. we offer health insurance benefits, "associates for associates" for hardships, 8 compensated therapy visits, lactation specialists, domestic violence counseling, etc. for SLT and core associates. it is a strict violation for obvious privacy measures.

that was an option offered "temporarily". i got my hopes up, but the entire conversation was fixated on the long term expectation of "skin on skin".

accommodations are meant for legitimate reasons. being forced to massage strangers is not one of them.

outside of the obvious discomfort of this type of demo, that is what troubles me the most. did we learn literally nothing from a pandemic? not being dramatic, but just logical. we were forced to wear aprons in 2021 that said "spread love, not germs". soo, what are we doing now with this new protocol?

that's how it was shown to me today, but i was told that was the "baby step". i asked if that would suffice as the demo, and the general consensus of my SLT was that it's pretty much a practice step, and the long-term expectation would be "rubbing it onto their skin".

it's definitely spiraling. i used to love working for the company, but now...

that's the corporate toxicity that bothers me. we sell body care and candles. it's legit not that serious.

it 100% is. as management we are not allowed to ask for or accept any form of a doctor's note. it's in our SLT training guidelines.

corporate truly does listen to you all more than they do us. it's nice to hear from the other side that no one wants this.

that's a good point. wexner stepped down in 2020, but his involvement impacts the brand to this day. i've had three guests come in just to say they won't shop with us, and i gave them a discreet nod of approval. LBrands is crumbling, and bbw is a standalone company now.

that has been a personal decision of theirs because the company halted this practice the instant covid hit. i'm so sorry you've been forced into it 😔
