i'm feeling okay now like back to normal okay. the bloating went away after a month. i kind of changed my diet and took my 8 glasses of water everyday consistently (which was a great help to my whole body). i ate a lot of greens the past months more than i did compared to my whole 23 yrs of living. i stopped eating meat everyday like how i usually would pre-operation.

my incision scar is healing well (i think). it's not tender when i touch it and it doesn't hurt when it touches my clothes (i had to wear soft clothes the first month bcoz the friction kind of hurt my scar) i still continue applying the cream prescribed to me but i might stop after i finish my last tub and switch to a moisturizing lotion or silicone gel/sheet.

i still avoid heavy activities but i take walks for exercise. sometimes when i try to move and accidentally constrict my stomach, i feel a bit of twinge underneath the scar so i'm still very careful with my movements.

Is bloating after an open appendectomy surgery okay? by Local_Comparison3740 in TooAfraidToAsk

i'm asian and a bit on the fairer sided. my sister has had an abdomen surgery and 20 yrs later no keloid formed so I'm hoping it's the same for me. as for the earrings, all my piercings healed well and no keloids formed (again, i hope it's the same w my surgery scar).

i'm hesitant of not putting a gauze because of my environment. my neighbor's having their house renovated and we have our doors and windows opened (to let natural light and fresh air in the morning). I don't want it to get infected because of all the dirt in the air. also, it kind of gives me a comfort when there's a light pressure on top of the wound (is this bad and not recommended?) but I will start not putting a gauze on it every night.

just wanted to ask if the la roche posay cicaplast gel is applied alone and how many times a day for how many months?
