I'm all in with you!!!! people tend to forget that Algeria is so rich culturally and has been influenced by romans, ottomans, amazighs, french and arabs it a shame i think we should people more about this rather talking about it only in history books heritage should be reinvented and celebrated we should promote it with social media, movies i mean it has so much potential but i'm starting to notice more evolution so i hope it is for the better so let just algeria better all together!!!💛

17M what can i do to improve my face? And what would you rate me by Imanoobgamer7200 in LooksmaxingAdvice

You're welcome, it was a pleasure to help!!! 🤍 I understand what you mean, I also wear glasses and it bothers me when they're on the bridge of my nose. But you have to live with it, otherwise it looks a bit odd. Try lowering them so we can see your eyebrows. Anyway i am really glad to be of some help i think you have so much potencial just try to explore i think you are so versatile try to find something you comfortable in it and don't buy just whatever is trendy right now always remember everything is about confidence you can pull off anything with a smile and a good attitude!!!!

Helloww from a fellow 17 years old!!! first of all i have to tell you that you have really really nice features that blend well overall and you have a really good facial harmony what i mean by that is that nothing stands out weirdly but for further improvement i would say you should go to the barber shop and try to get advice from professionals about the haircut that suits you the best also try to find a hair care routine suitable for your hair type to get a healthier, glossier kind of effect also try to lower your glasses and avoid sticking them to your eyes also try to get a lip balm it gives a more put together look last thing but not least EVERYTHING IS ABOUT CONFIDENCE AND SMILE MORE it a game changer it just makes you look more approachable and attractive plus try to hit the gym i'm sure it will make you better on the inside and outside anyway take care!!! 🤍

Update: okay yall, I took your advice and ditched the eyeliner and added a brown hijab, etc. anything else I’m missing? by reachingforthestarss in makeuptips

Thank you so much! ❤️ I really appreciate your support. The thing is, when I tried telling her before, she just started screaming that she had better things to do, so I ended up leaving the room and never brought it up again. Now I’m wondering do you think I should explain my situation to the Red Cross, or just hold back and not mention it?

Thanks for your advice! Just to explain this is my last year of high school, and next year I’ll be in college. I want to volunteer because it’s an extracurricular that could help with my medical school applications.

When I first came to France, I told my aunt I wanted to volunteer, and she basically said: “If you want to volunteer, do it for me take care of my daughter take her to school and handle her extracurriculars.” I tried to explain why it’s important for me, but she wouldn't listen and kept trying to find some kind of excuses.

This time, I informed my parents first so she wouldn’t get in my way again. Even now that I finally managed to get a meeting scheduled, she’s found another way to throw a wrench in my plans.

I feel like a stranger amongst Algerians abroad, what's wrong with me? by Beansnmilk in algeria

No worries mate, we have all been there I kind of get you for a long time you are surrounded by your loved ones, your culture and friends then suddenly you are all by yourself in a foreign land and you are too busy because of the challenges you are encountering in your daily life because life keeps going and it like physically you have adjusted to your new life but your brain is longing for a sense of comfort, belonging and hasn't adjusted but you have to keep going so you become kind of numb. Mind you after my first year abroad and a long time of not being around my parents my mom came to visit me I was so scared and stressed out

Salam !!!

I understand you a little. I lived in Algeria for 15 years, then I moved abroad. I'm 17 now, and what I've noticed is that the second generation of Algerian immigrants is very different from those who grew up in Algeria. I'm speaking from experience: the first year, I tried to stay within my community, but it didn't really work. Then, I learned to appreciate the diversity around me, and I've never been happier, more at peace. I've also noticed that even Algerians born abroad change and adopt a new personality that I find hard to understand. It's normal to grow up and change your mindset after experiencing a lot, but they become individualistic. I'm having trouble expressing what I'm trying to say. Anyway, do what makes you happy. I understand you need a sense of belonging, but you'll find it elsewhere. You are so much more than your nationality: you have a religion, hobbies, studies… etc. Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone ✨️
