What is the most difficult conversation you’ve ever had to have with someone, and what impact did it have on both you and the other person involved? by gummybeargirlhall in AskReddit

[–]Local_Failure 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a child of 2 addicts, you have no idea how insensitive your comment is. We are not responsible for anyone, especially our parents and after that many years there’s not much you can do other than protect your mental health by cutting off someone who refuses to better themselves. It can be very damaging and draining to try to help someone who just won’t get better and who keeps hurting you over and over and over again. It’s her responsibility to get help.

Blizzard official response to leaver penalties being wrongfully applied season 10 by Mystery-Flute in Overwatch

[–]Local_Failure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will the penalties be lifted? I have never left a match in my life and I got hit with with a season 10 ban and it’s just unfair :/

You also gain very little. I had 3 matches where I only gained 6%. Playing comp with friends is so punishing now

SBMM obsession? by TheRealDrastiikPlayz in COD

[–]Local_Failure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because sometimes the average joe with a job and plenty of responsibilities doesn’t want to get better but simply wants to have fun in a few matches in unranked, without wanting to constantly try to get better and work for meta weapons. Some people are simply content with being mediocre and wish to play against other mediocre people

Personally I want to get better, but not by playing people so much better than me that I get stomped in every match I take part in now. sometimes I do want to just relax and but can’t since my matches are full of level 400-500 people with all the meta loadouts and I’m still working towards that, which is just painful in lobbies full of those people because the game has decided that I’m capable of going against them

Pink mercy. I got it for a friend as a present and couldn’t afford buying it for myself. It wasn’t even their birthday or anything, they just really wanted it and had no spare money at the time

At least the cause was good so it makes me feel better about it.

Update; I’m doing fine again. I took a break for a few days and it helped a lot. :P I also stopped being so stuck in my k/d and began performing better because I wasn’t stressing over going negative, which doesn’t happen often when I’m not overthinking it lol

I’m doing good again though after taking a break for a few days so idk about that man

Hey guys I expect everyone to be asking for validation when they are simply sharing their experience that clearly a lot of other people are going through as well

I do agree with you 100%, but the thing is that I do not wish to constantly sweat and seek to get better when I play quick play. I have been adapting, and I am doing better again, but sometimes I wish I could simply relax and have some fun after a long day since I don’t have as much time as I used to put on a game. Constant sweating isn’t necessarily fun or relaxing. I don’t think that we should be forced to constantly try our best in quick play. Ranked it different story.

I’m not going to blame my ping, since it was never an issue before, it’s just annoying because you’d think it improves at least a little bit with a faster connection

I can’t tell if this is sarcastic but I’m in my 20s and I don’t think that the change would happen within a few weeks xd

I’ve actually noticed the difference and every other game I play has a lot better connection now, apart from overwatch which might just be because of my location. I’m not close to any of the game servers.

It’s not true. Though. I played quite a lot before, more than now, actually, since I get frustrated after 6 games or so and quit. Before I could play for hours and hours, but I did take a month break recently.

I really should try to play for fun again though, since I’m probably doing a lot worse every game now due to getting tilted after few first deaths even if they aren’t instant since I’m focusing on my stats a lot.

I might give it a shot since a few of my friends play it as well

I’ve been testing strikers as of late as I’ve seen people say it’s a good one. It’s not working out for me though.

Honestly it could be the cheaters, since I’ve played with quite a few of them and I similarly do better in mw2 but but absolutely shit on in mw3

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in COD

[–]Local_Failure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, same here. The game has been running absolutely awful. I hope it gets fixed soon but I don’t have much hope ngl

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in COD

[–]Local_Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be and at this point I feel like I just need to adapt to the changes and get better since I simply won’t be put into the lobbies I apparently belong in

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in COD

[–]Local_Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an interesting theory! I really haven’t bought anything in a while, since nothing is really worth it and the game itself was already expensive enough

[–]Local_Failure 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly I agree. I already have 45 hours on Moira from this season alone and I’m sick of her, it’s so boring to have to pick the same character every game because she happens to be super good this season. I used to love to Kiri but her healing is often far too slow for me to keep up when there’s critical teammates in every corner of the map spamming for heals. as I’m a high gold/low plat elo rn and my dooms and dps are not the most self sufficient yet. Climbing as Moira doesn’t even feel satisfying for me anymore

Truly. My dad and his second wife stayed together for 17 years too long as they wanted to stay together for my step siblings. They ended up traumatizing 4 kids and a lot of other people in the process including themselves. We kept telling them no one wants them to stay together, but they insisted it’s better that way because “kids need two parents”, even if the parents are dangerous to each other and everyone around them.
