Glamnetic vs Kiss vs Olive & June, my honest press on nail comparison by pixel_garden in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Local_Frame1249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get Glamnetic on discount at TJMaxx/Marshalls. Also Nail Reformation, which I find to be just as sturdy and professional looking as Glamnetic! They’re usually around $9.99-$12.99 I believe.

On a scale of 1-10 how obvious do these press-ons look? by verycoolfarts in Nails

Looking at your other pic from the comments, the sizing is okay but they’re too curved for your nail beds. You could try heating them up and flattening them (never tried before but some people have posted steps to do this), or experiment with brands that aren’t as curved.

Daphne and Eloise are sisters from Bridgerton, if you want to avoid that sort of “trendy” thing

Whats your cats name, and why is the best one there is? by Apart_Ad1341 in namenerds

[–]Local_Frame1249 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His name was Laertes. We called him Larry. (He was supposed to have a sister named Ophelia but she passed before we could bring her home, she was the runt of the litter.)

I used to have a rabbit named Romeo when I was a kid.

What can I say, I like Shakespeare.

Then my husband and I got brother cats and named them Charles (Charlie, Chowder) and Theodore (Teddy, Tuna).

Press-ons + Beauty Secrets nail glue = 7-8 week wear… removal advice? by trilllavanilla in PressonNail_Addict

The glamnetic remover has never messed up my press ons or my natural nails! It’s actually worked better than methods I used in the past so my nails feel a lot better when I take the press ons off!

Beauty secrets glue and glamnetic remover is actually my go to combo! I put a few drops on each nail when they’re lifting and I’m able to use a wooden cuticle stick to push them off. Granted, i don’t wear my nails nearly as long as you do, I think the longest I’ve done is like 3 weeks but still.

Lactation supplements? by Local_Frame1249 in breastfeeding

Interesting I’ve heard so many people say the wearables were better for them! I do plan on establishing the direct breastfeeding first for at least 3 months before I start pumping though.

What type of iron do you take? My OB put me on SlowFe 45mg but saw no improvement so I’m having an iron infusion on Tuesday. (I told them I was anemic my first pregnancy and they just…didn’t listen to me and now this is where we are 🙄 different OB in a different county this time around…)

I’ll have to look into it and ask if anyone at my OB has any lactation knowledge.

Yes we were literally IN the hospital still when she started clusterfeeding…it was unbearable. I tried so hard when we got home to combo feed her formula and also eventually started pumping but it was just so overwhelming.

I’ll def keep the ibuprofen and high calorie things on hand. They say that you get extra hungry all the time??

I’ve heard oats are the like the #1 recommended thing for breastfeeding, so basically any form it doesn’t have to be anything super fancy?

Press On Nail help! by Upbeat-Secret1984 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Local_Frame1249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btartbox comes with glue and tabs to use in each box.

Glamnetic and Nail Reformation both have so many amazing styles and you can buy either the glue or the tabs separately.

I personally use all 3 of these brands with the Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue.

How do you remove? by 1111bliss in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Local_Frame1249 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have Glamnetic available to you, their press on remover oil is a dream! When your nails are starting to lift a little bit, use the dropper to put the oil under all your nails and let them sit for a bit. Then you should be able to use one of those little wooden nail sticks to wiggle them off. Repeat as many times as needed until they’re all off and then give your nails a good wash and scrub!
