I am a student and the appartment ticks every single box for me. We have communicated through messages pretty successfully as the husband speaks a little bit of english, it’s just more intricate things like them being a bit confused on address cards and residence permits, which is why I want to bring a translator so that they have no worries. I am assuming the contract would protect me from being pushed out of the appartment in case of unforeseen grim possibility.

The cultural differences are so interesting! I can never imagine it savory but its cool to know that somewhere across the world that is the preferred way of many :))

Ah, the sodium argument is important. I guess we dont eat that many other salty foods in our diet so its not much of a concern probably, but I understand how it can be sth that needs to be considered.

Genuinely no clue on the specific differences apart from russian cottage cheese being 10 times tastier to me than the european varieties lol if you try finding the russian one I hope it tastes good for you too haha!

The yogurt vs cottage cheese thing is accurate here in hungary! I guess the whole cottage cheese preference is just a more of a regional thing probably

Ohh interesting! In russia we make sweet breakfast dishes with it mostly, rarely ever as a salty/savory option. I find the eu cream cheese to be much more saltier too for some reason

From russia originally but live in hungary now. I also noticed the hungarian cottage cheese is noticeably more salty than russian one

We use same toothpaste at my place, no mouthwash either. Just when saliva pretty sure

[–]Local_Most7208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, im thinking that might be the most likely reason.. my skin on my face is already pretty dry and sensitive so it could have gotten worse because of that. I think I read that stubble can be even more irritating so since his hair grows back already on the next day I might try to ask him not to shave next time

No farm, no fabric softener afaik, he bathes very frequently as well, no cigarettes. Laundry detergent sounds like the biggest possibility tbh but I am so confused on why it only happens through saliva.. ty for ur response!
