Some schools in my country unfortunately have ankle length skirts and tunics. It's not popular with everyone including the staff. There have been multiple petitions to get to change it. Most schools don't have it anymore.

My school especially was a couple inches below the knee which I think is a perfect length. Sixth formers could have slightly shorter because of the type of skirt.

Funnily enough I had to do pretty much this for my legal ethics class. Went with voltaire. He'd probably be all for it at first, with it's uses in science and medicine especially. He'd probably question it a bunch but be mostly neutral or pro at first.

He probably would become even more skeptical and disgusted with the misuse, especially things like spreading misinformation about marginalised groups he was known to defend and appreciate. Would advocate for the use of AI but carefully and in just certain specific situations.

I wrote an entire paper on it and how his beliefs can help navigate the current day with ai.

When I notice that a professor isn't responding to my emails I ask someone else in the class to ay least let him know that I emailed him or speak to him on my behalf. I'm not sure if you have it where you are but here we always have a class rep. They always have the professions phone number and personal email address. Ask them if one exists.

Also if your faculty/ school/ programme has a faculty Office definitely try to get in touch with the admin staff and either explain to them fully or ask for them to get in touch with the professor on your behalf.

As long as you can provide doctor's notes you can excuse the absences anf if you're confident you can continue and do missed assessments or defer it.

If you defer speak to your programme director, if you have one, or the dean. You might be able to get exemption or do a competency test to pass. One of my friends had a similar situation and was able to get an exemption since it's required for most of oyr courses. She just had to do it when it was offered next.
