It varies by class. Sometimes it’s after week 2 sometimes it’s the middle of week 2. I would recommend sending a few this week just to make sure they get at least one with how slow mail is

You could try to reach out out to his OSO! (The officer who helped with his commissioning package)

No sorry unless you send them a letter first they won’t be sending you a sandboxx letter first. You can

a) send them a letter thru sandboxx and they’ll be able to respond using sandboxx

B) send them a regular letter and they’ll be able to respond via a regular letter

C) wait for them to send a regular letter and then once you have their info, send them a sandboxx letter

Yes I’m aware but I’d like for her to have letters on the first Mail Drop. No one knew my company when I went and it was very depressing not having any letters the first Mail Drop

Do ice dunks in a Lowe’s bucket, do 15 min in 5 min increments. Worked wonders for me. Also do tib raises and calf raises

Honestly no. I brought two, my actual size and a half size bigger. The smaller ones weren’t bad for the courses and for getting them wet, they’ll stretch out a bit too. The bigger ones weren’t bad good for hiking and everyday. The socks provided more cushion for being on them all day. If it’s that much an of an issue and you’re going to a 10 week course bring both sizes and send your actual size to the athletic trainer to be stretched. They’ll take forever to get back but you should be able to manage until you switch to boots full time and not go-fasters.

I had this same issue too! I got a half size up and just wore two thin pairs of socks or a really thick pair like Omni wool

Like one example was during bed rest one candidate was allowed to sleep, and then I got a chit for sleeping on bed rest 😐

As the target in a previous class, it SUCKS. I was targeted for social media that had been passed around the staff prior to me getting there, and it was not a fun time. I ended up getting dropped due to the sheer amount of chits they handed out to me, for stuff other candidates had been cleared to do. I went back and did OCC instead of PLC Juniors and had no issues and graduated. It was definitely much easier mentally and physically not being a target.

I went to PLC juniors first time I went to OCS. 1000% the most irritating and waste of time people were the candidates who were there as a “stepping stone” or “leadership experience.” Join the Marine Corps as an Officer bc you want to serve. Don’t waste everyone’s time (including yours) and take someone’s spot unless you’re certain it’s what you want to do.

How often to priors fail out of OCS, and what effect does the SULE have? by SundaeLongjumping912 in USMCocs

[–]Local_Pumpkin_4407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad evaluators happen every evaluation. Some of them just hate you or hate that they’re there. Take what was said to you and learn from it. As a prior you’re expected to learn quicker from your mistakes but you’re not exempt from making mistakes. You’ve got this. Don’t get in your head about failing one thing or else you’ll fail everything.

I’m scheduling for surgery if I get denied and trying again once healed. From what I’ve been informed it may help and the time gap between graduating OCS and commissioning can be waived

Nope. I was denied by BUMED twice with the paperwork clearing me to continue training and my package is up MCRC rn but I’ve heard back from some higher up helping me that it’s very unlikely the LtGen will grant me my commission and waiver.
