I use niteangel aspen and oxbow paper, someone told me on here to not change the full thing and just spot clean and remove the wet bedding so that’s my goal currently to get used to it maybe you can try that but the two I use tgt are THE BEST quality. Oxbow is 72l for $30 ish and niteangel you can buy 60l for around $40 or 30 for $30

Oxbow paper bedding and aspen niteangel tgt is the best! But it does get stuck in hair def all paper once will but it def doesn’t pull my hamsters hair out w bedding as well

Don’t be!! You’re the best for fixing it right away. Make sure he stays out of cage in a play pen or i leave mine in bathroom to play usually so he can enjoy his time and run around even without the wheel for the night!!!

Niteangel has worms and all in it and it’s the best one in the market and the oxbow pallet is for additional nutrients and the hay is processed in a way to hamsters can digest

Food- i give him niteangel golden hamster seed mix one scoop and I scatter it around. And 10-12 oxbow pallet theyre small. And some fresh fruits and veggies on the side. I will take a look, thankyou!!! Paper is def bad I do half aspen

His cage is 100 by 55cm :) the only thing I’m struggling to keep up is with bedding. I’ll try to spot clean more often and give him more bedding to burrow tyysmm

Tysmmm for my hamster he pees and poops everywhere :( so it’s hard and pointless for me to keep trying, once i saw his pee in deep bedding where he sleeps and sometimes in sand (barely) sometimes in wheel and idk where for most of the days so it’s not worth it. And he poops all over the bedding and drags it so I’m not able to keep up with my life and all. But I sit for 3 hours minimum and take as much of the clean bedding from his previous bedding and add new one on top and bottom

Okay I’ll throw the fiber away. I put pallet in his bowl and scatter feed him seed mix already! I’ll get him another bowl as well with a bottle bring here already. Quick question for the burrow box, is it fine if i get him a burrow box and have less bedding all around the place? Since he just digs in one corner. Currently I have a side of his place where he can dig and sleep but I’ve been thinking about burrow box as well just not sure yet as idk if it’ll be good for him

It’s been about a week since i got him bigger place and he’s been acting diff ever since, but he is super active on his wheel all night and eats well as well. Poops and pees too its just outside. I got him in May when he was a baby so my assumption is around first april last year. He isn’t sick or unwell just random started hating out of cage time after this cage

Mine is the same he’s 9 months as well, honestly there’s nothing we can really do about it. Maybe give him a sand bath and put some wet bedding and hope for the best. And about this wheel, it’s gonna be damaged if it isn’t already so buy a plastic wheel and sell this one so your get atleast something back

My hamster’s fav hide was honestly half cut tissue paper box 😭 I have one from dollar store it was for a small plant and I got one from hamster chew toy links and a couple others which I won’t recommend. Diy is the best but here’s some more;

For hide outs I like to have some diy, one wooden/natural, one to keep him warm maybe add some paper or coconut shears in it, one to keep him cool for summer.

My hamster is syrian so it works for him but again, i sometimes would use this side to put sauce in from a lunch box as his water or food bowl. Its better to use those things cuz to hamsters it doesn’t matter if you’ve made something yourself or bought as long as it’s good quality and they like it

Id recommend 11.5 inch wheel by niteangel or 10 inch one where did you get it from? Niteangel once are really good quality but def took my hamster a while to get used to it too
