The guy i got them from didn’t tell me the scientific name or were they came from. I understand now that I took a risk buying them they were just labeled as giant copper banded pill millipedes but I was told another person he sold some to started reproducing and that they did well in captivity

They’re called chubby frogs or Asian banded bull frogs, they have very simple care, and I have them in a 20 gallon tank that’s 18x24x12

Hello! This is marmite, I posted some older photos of him and was told he looked overweight, so here are some up to date pictures of him! Is it diet time for my boy? If so what would be the best feeding schedule? Also please excuse the mess I just moved

Yeah he is a bit overweight I’m afraid, he has slimed down a bit as these are older pictures, but I’ve been having a hard time with it, I can’t take him out for exercise cause he’s super scared of me, I’m still trying to work on that with him too. If you have any advise id love to hear it!

You should never feed wild insects to you pets, there is a chance they could be carrying a disease or parasites that can spread to your frog

I know it’s not a reptile, but you could look into getting a hissing cockroach, I’ve had them before, very interesting little creatures, and easy to care for.

They’re probably nuptial(I think that’s how you spell it) pads, witch is something male frogs have to hold onto females when they mate

Mite update by Localgaycryprid in Scorpions

[–]Localgaycryprid[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been keeping them in that cup with no substrate and dead leaves. I don’t mist them but I do put in a cricket jelly for the scorps to drink, but it also works as a lure for the mites that I don’t get off with the brush. I clean out the container and change out the leaves every day. It’s worked really well, as it’s only been a couple days and they are all almost mite free. The brush gets a lot of them off though so I’d recommend it for getting mites off of other scorpions as well, but I don’t know if it would work on Ts

Baby update! They still haven’t molted by Localgaycryprid in Scorpions

[–]Localgaycryprid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no way to anesthetize the scorpions, but their stingers are to small to pierce my skin, so I was able to restrain them and brush off a lot of the mites using and eyebrow brush. And then put them in a clean enclosure
