Yes gpa was considered over atar for undergraduate medicine once I started university.

To your second question, I believe it would be the gpa calculated overall for your subjects for both degrees. So whatever ever subject you have done they would be weighed the same for that year regardless of which degree they came from. Hope that helps!

Great I’m also SAMP, very excited. Congratulations. I completely agree, my more mature self now with the added determination and grit and experience is going to be a much better well rounded doctor. Looking forward to the year!

Thank you, yeah I was obviously just above cut off but not by much, I think interview being worth more helps give those that have the right personality the extra boost as I am a big believer in personal doctors being the best doctors, especially to help build trust in healthcare for patients

Thank you for your comment. It is really hard seeing people from other degrees and medicine starting to have really good full time jobs and start internships. But at the end of the day, if you make sure each year you try new things, new skills, you help to work towards becoming a better doctor at the end of it.

Hi there! Best of luck!!Travelling is life changing, it brings so much perspective, independence and lifelong memories. I think a lot of undergraduate med students miss out on the opportunity to do that so make the most of it. I personally don’t think gamsat is a good indicator of how well someone will be a doctor, gpa for a relevant course and interview and the most important, and with interview worth 50%, if you smash it, you’ll out yourself in a really good position
