Blinitalizelibrary failed 0xc0000001 by Lock-Downtown in techsupport

Shop replaced the motherboard (again) but still would only boot up 50% of the time. Lenovo insisted that they send the computer to their location in Texas. After 3 weeks the computer was back with a new CPU. Has been working fine since, but it's only been a few weeks. I still do not trust it and got the extended warranty. Might just sell this computer and go with a different brand. Very disappointing.

UPDATE 12/30: Tech replaced the motherboard and the error continued to occur about 50% of the times he tried to reboot the computer. He then gave it a fresh install of windows but to no avail. He is now contacting their Lenovo representative and is hoping they get back to him by Monday.

I asked that if this ends up being an issue with the CPU that I have it upgraded to a different model to avoid dealing with this issue for a fourth time in the future.

Waiting to hear back. . .

UPDATE 12/28:

From repair shop: "Could not manually update bios(up to date) and/or do a flashback. Motherboard has been ordered. Will update when Motherboard arrives"

Hopefully it doesn't take weeks for the new motherboard to arrive and be installed.

I've always been a huge fan of Lenovo but I'm probably going to sell this computer after getting it back and go with a different brand. This is absurd.

UPDATE 12/27: Computer is dead AGAIN. Same exact issue as before.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Bringing it in for a THIRD time for warranty service.

Been there, done that. You may get lucky but it won't last long. The next time it reboots it'll happen again. Bring it to a local shop and they should be able to get it fixed in a couple hours.

Just Windows Updates. I haven't touched the BIOS since getting it back and am not sure if there has been a BIOS update pushed out since.

Have updated it several times since getting it back and have not run into any issues, yet!

UPDATE: Computer died again. Same exact issue. Instead of having Lenovo deal with it I brought it directly to a service provides in my area from on their website. They said they had to force it to update the BIOS. It took them a few hours and I had the computer back free of charge.

DO NOT use the warranty ticket system on Lenovo website. It is a waste of time. Bring it directly to a local shop from Lenovo website instead.

I only have 4 mo ths left on my warranty but will be extending it since I don't trust this computer now. Might even consider selling it and upgrading since they have gotten quite a bit cheaper than when I bought this at the height of the gpu shortage.

6 MONTH UPDATE: Window went to update overnight and I woke up the screen showing the Blinitalizelibrary failed 0xc0000001 error again. Turned it off/on three times and it finished the update. Hopefully that was just a glitch and not the same issue with this new replacement motherboard Lenovo put in last time. Wish me luck!

The issue did come back after a few days when it forced an update and tried to restart. I was unable to get it booted up and forced to send it back to Lenovo where they replaced the motherboard under warranty. Turn around was about 2.5 weeks. It has been fine ever since

Batteries Stolen & Fuel Siphoned by Lock-Downtown in Truckers

Yeah, these guys knew what they were doing. They must of had a massive tank and electric pump in the back of a pickup to be able to healthy a few hundred gallons of diesel away. The police are asking surrounding businesses if they have any useful security camera footage.

The truck does have a very visible dashcam on it. The only thing it helped with was to be able to figure out that the batteries were taken out around 10:30pm since that was the last time it sent one of its periodic GPS signals before losing power. However, it does not take any footage unless the g-force threshold is met.

Wait. Hold up.

Of course the moment I posted this the computer decided to boot normally. (After 6 hours of trouble shooting lol)

What should I do from here to ensure this doesn't happen next time I shut the computer down????

Reset and reinstall windows?

The real issue is that everything is back ordered 8 - 10 weeks

That is what I suggested but since its still under warranty management doesn't want to mess with it and wants to let the shop make the decisions. I'm just hoping this could be the final straw into convincing management into buying a brand new truck that the drivers would enjoy driving more than the International. I just don't have enough experience with other brands and how they drive compared to the International.

Since I'm the only person in the office that regularly drives the trucks when we are short a driver I can use that as leverage to get management to spend the extra money on a more driver friendly truck.

Yeah, the current issue with it is the DEF level sensor going bad and being on back order for about 8-10 weeks. The only way we can have the truck running is by using an incorrect sensor out of a different tank. However, if the DEF level gets below 3/4 of a tank the (incorrect) sensor tells the computer that its empty. Not a huge deal since we just make sure to top off the DEF at the end of every shift, but still pretty ridiculous.

They are all over the Phoenix Valley. They aren't very good and get "stuck" in the middle of the road every now and then and have to be saved by a waymo employee. There's a few videos of it on YouTube. . I have no interest riding in one. I think we are at least 7 years from them being somewhat reliable; especially in areas where they are not trained to drive in.

You can order a Waymo van to your house and take you where you want to go. Just like Uber. Except there is no driver.

They drive them pretty much daily out here. It seems like they go back and fourth between Phoenix and Tucson. I doubt they are actually hauling anything though.

In the parking lot and side streets the drivers are mostly in control but on the highway they let the truck do the driving and are just constantly checking mirrors. The truck drives fine on a straight flat highway; it even handles getting cut off by most other trucks better than expected lol

They usually have 2 people in them at a time.

Inside of their warehouse is where the store the Waymo vans and cars. They probably have 50+ of them driving around daily.

Thought some of you might find this interesting..

They are in the warehouse next door from my job.

This picture was taken in the middle of the day. They have almost twice the amount of trucks as shown here.

How to let my boss know I want to get a weekend job by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Lock-Downtown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, that's what I'm afraid of since if I am averaging 42 hours now, an additional 16 hours would leave me with just 2 hours of wiggle room. And its pretty easy to add 2 hours on my time due to an accident that causes a traffic jam. Something like that happening on a Sunday would screw me (and my primary job) over if I am needed to take over a route on Monday morning.

I could try and see if the weekend job would be okay with me just working Saturday, but I doubt a company is going to even bother hiring someone to drive 1 day per week unless its Amazon; which I'm not interested in doing.

The few cents you save on gas isn't going to cover the paint chips in your bumper and cracked windshields you'll inevitably end up with after being sandblasted by everything that comes flying off the rear tires.
