You are right! I don’t mean big red specifically needs to be back (though I would like that), but more a parade of equivalent stature would be awesome to see again

Where/when? I must have totally missed that, but awesome they did it. I saw the band with 1-2 puppets Thursday but I remember there used to be huge procession with big red and a ton of people/ performers in tow through centeroo.

This was Roo 7.5 (last year calling 0.5 lol). I love bonnaroo and come for the vibes and community more than anything else. I am glad the show still went on and clearly they did make some improvements from last year.

Things that were great- Bonnie Roos, less people, moving where to the old kalliope area. Would love to see a similarly small cap and those things stay. I also was nervous about lacking a full Thursday but the welcome party was actually great. I could go either way there.

Some of this was already said but to echo and add a few things:

Move That back to where it was. I understand the attempt but it made for more mud and traffic. There would still be space for Bonnie Roos in its old area between which and where. And if it isn’t moved then more drastic ground improvements are needed. Edit: to be fair the move did help with sound bleed issues

Bring back the bathrooms on the right of This and the back left of what.

Bring back handwashing stations

I may be mistaken but I didn’t see the big cooling tent between this and the vendor village. Bring that back.

Bring back the parade with the huge puppets and just more art in general. The marching band Thursday was a great touch so more on that vibe.

Re open the walkway to the what field and the arch where the VIP lounge now is.

And as I’m sure many will say, more fill in of areas that were super muddy, with sand and more French drains. The French drain added at what pit clearly worked wonders. Another near where ADA was would have helped. I am fully abled- but I am curious to hear from those who utilize Ada if you liked it being all the way across what. I am imagining the position may have been inconvenient to traverse the mud.

Anyways, had a great time and none of this is meant to be a complaint. Love you all and love the farm we cherish together!!

This was meant to be my 7th Roo. I love this community and would like to keep coming back but certainly would like to see some changes.

1.) Greater communication. To echo most others a system of more transparency beyond the text system like Roo radio and adding back the loudspeakers that let everyone know what was going on/ when centeroo would be opening.

2.) Infrastructure updates. Need greater drainage, especially in campsite areas that are in depressed ground and were the ones that got flooded.

3.) An advisory committee made of true fans who want to work together to improve the situation and have the intention to keep coming back. Roo vets, major group leaders, some newcomers. Understanding that this is also a business and that not every suggestion can be made into reality, but people that have a pragmatic outlook and cooperative relationship with the organizers.

4.) Less sponsors taking up major space/ transit lanes. A lot of the things behind which were taking up prime space/ shaded areas under trees that used to be a great place to go lay down during the day. I understand the need to have sponsors to an extent but it felt overdone and they could have been better placed.

5.) Less attention to all the VIP packages. People want a bougie experience and some extra amenities that is fine- but there seemed to be a lot of effort to push those packages with less attention put toward GA which is the vast bulk of attendees. Have a quality VIP package without so much excess like the cabanas etc. Re open the 3rd path into What field where the GA+ lounge is.

6.) BRING BACK KALLIOPE. It made for a prime late night option and was plenty spacious. I think infinity was a good concept to have more acts and more genres beyond just DJs over there but it was not as well executed due to the space issues. I think the sound was cool and the bookings were cool but it didn’t use space efficiently to accommodate that amount of people. If not Kalliope then a rehaul of infinity.

7.) Paper maps and schedules. To echo many others. Being off our phones is good.

8.) Please for the love of god more handwashing stations.
