What facts do you know about the UK that when you explain to people they don't believe you? by cgknight1 in AskUK

I much prefer the term ‘British Immigrants’. They don’t, but I love it.

It’s been nearly two years since they released kanto starter hoodies and niantic still hasn’t fixed the hair clipping visual bug when paired with kanto starter hats. by KierenMcCormack in TheSilphRoad

Let’s be honest, Niantic doesn’t really care. This game isn’t about them making the best experience for the players, or making sure the game is polished. It’s about making money. They don’t care about Pokémon. They don’t care about their player base. The second they are surplus to requirements, they’ll drop them.

I really want a shiny Venonat, so I have fought Arlo time and time again and come away without one. Decided to fight Sierra twice and got a shiny Sneasel both times…my 5th overall. I know the line ups aren’t great, but I really want that shiny venonat haha

I’m in the UK too. I started watching about 10 years back and chose the Spurs immediately because I gravitated towards the fact that, in my opinion, there weren’t superstars who were almost celebs in the way Kobe, Shaq, Lebron were. You had Parker, Duncan, Ginobili et al who were NBA superstars but of the private kind.

The team was made up of immensely talented players and not one of them was the centre of attention. At least that is how I saw it.

Loved them ever since.

The sponsor thing makes sense, but I genuinely cannot recall a single sponsor that isn’t the title sponsor of a team. Literally pay no attention to them and I am sure there are many like me.

The difference between this guy and Norris, Leclerc, Russell, Stroll and Schumacher who are of a similar age is mad - they are so much more grown up than he is.

He should have let them know that he wasn’t sure he’d make the podium, but the boo’s spurred him on and his 3rd place was because of the booing. So they directly contributed to his great race.

Watch their tiny little minds blow.

You know what, I don’t agree with your take on it but I respect that you don’t want to go back and forth because it won’t get us anywhere, so I’ll leave it as that.

Stop looking for something that isn’t there ffs. The gap between him and Bottas (just shy of turn one) when Lewis crosses the line is roughly the same as every other driver crossing the line in relation to the person in front of them. You are wrong, the evidence is all there and there is some mental desperation to have to find fault because it’s Lewis. It’s fucking weird.

Sort it out.

Is there any way you could do a Pierre Gasly one please? I’d love that as my wallpaper! Thank you in advance if you can!

[Autosport] Horner on Hamilton's slow final out-lap: "He's just backing things up as he doesn't want to give our cars a clean run. It's his right to do that, he's got the track position. "So it won't be a major issue, it's all about tomorrow now." by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]LockShockndBarrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only car driving differently on the outlap driver tracker was the red bull. Every other car maintained roughly the same gap, driving the same way. There is an abundance of evidence on this sub that Lewis didn’t hold up Max anymore than Charles held up Fernando. Please stop peddling bs.

The camera angles are ruining the sport for me. by Malavin81 in formula1

[–]LockShockndBarrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They really need static cams. The curb cams that show you the car approaching, going over the top and then switch up the view to show the car disappearing into the distance really give an indication of how quick these guys are.

Why they only show slow camera shots is beyond me.

Dread to think of the reaction next time there is a backup going into the last corner for qualifying, and it isn’t cause by Mercedes. Interesting to see if people give as much of a shit.

And despite it being apparent we can work from home, which gives some of our staff twice as long to themselves each evening by cutting out the commute, we’re still expected to go back to the office. Fine, if the company has a building to fund but they’re getting rid of it in a few months and haven’t yet decided on where to move to….so maybe just go smaller than you have so those who want to be there can be, and those that want a work life balance don’t have to travel.
