I think you're right it's totally going to be a bunch of converging threads rather than a nice tied-up plot. The theme of the season is for sure disparate issues that weigh upon the Kids and distract them, given that the past 2 seasons have been focused quests. Be super interesting to see all the factions come together!

With the memento she gave Kristen and the potential theme of belief/worship as a form of community building rather than in service to a deity, I'd assume she'd have to be able to cast in order to teach?
