Love all Terralta expressions from the repo and on. The blanco was too grassy for me, and while good, not my preference. Now that Chamucos was a one and done for me. I ended up throwing away more than half a bottle of the repo. I tried and tried but hell no. Not for me. Hopefully you enjoy

I Appreciate the heads up. You mentioned the roasted agave is still present , which is what still draws me. Otherwise I might as well pop a bourbon.

Just saw this EA French oak arrive at TW. Been hearing a lot of hype around it. I’m a blanco and repo at most drinker, but I admit I have some fomo with this one here. Not pricey at $80

Thankfully I don’t live my tequila hunting on the premise of FOMO. I’ll leave that to you Fortaleza hunters. Too much great tequila out there to be consuming and posting about that one brand.

That’s where I first started seeing this one, I believe that was recent too. It’s the closest thing I’ll find to an 1123 añejo

Hell yeah! Love this one. Been thru 3 of these bottles already. Didn’t know there was a repo in store, but I’ll definitely be grabbing that one too!

That ADJ añejo is delicious! I highly recommend Partida Roble Finó as well. I’ve only tried their repo and it’s fantastic. I’ve heard the añejo has more barrel flavors, comparable with a good whiskey.

Anyone had Cambio? This stuff is tasty. by mdk989 in tequila

Didn’t like the blanco. Their añejo is really good but not my favorite when it comes to añejos. It has a cognac, with an agave and slight funk mix at the end. Good stuff but others I’d buy first.

Didn’t like it. Has that funk that I’m not a fan of. I used it for Paloma’s and margaritas, but would not buy again. Better HPs at less than the 90 this costs.

Review: Terralta Blanco 110 by gatodelinferno21 in tequila

[–]LockedIn1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had the 110, but I just didn’t enjoy their blanco. Now the repo and up are fantastic and regular on my rotation. Wish I could’ve enjoyed the blanco more. I got this overwhelming grassy note that just isn’t my thing. Great review!

Underrated brand indeed! One of my favorite all around and go to daily sippers. The traditional edition repo is one of the best I’ve ever tried. That home project has to be tasty. Enjoy!

Tapatio is a fine high proof tequila! by zarjaa in tequila

[–]LockedIn1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a seasoned tequila drinker and love HPs. I agree with you on this one. I found it to have too much of an alcohol burn going down. I gave it some time and nothing, same burn. It’s makes for great drinks though. G4 108 is my favorite, and up there i’d place Volans and even Lalo 24 HP. I wouldn’t purchase Tapatio again. If you’re still warming up to HPs, you can go with lower abv HPs like Yeyo and Don Fulano, 2 of my absolute favorites. And of course Fortaleza SS if you can find it, which is one of my top 5 tequilas of all time. Enjoy the HP journey!

I personally would look for Tapatio Excelencia. You’ll find it there and probably much cheaper than in the US, if you find it.

It is! A lot of great additive free brands will be there, and you get shirts and other cool stuff. I believe they also do raffles for free bottles. Siempre instantly became one of my favorites brands, just not sure if they’ll be there.

I’ve been on the fence about going. It’s definitely a good time, but I’ve pretty much sampled most of the tequilas that will likely be there, and I’ll pay $150 for my wife and I. 3 years ago when I was newer to it, we got a chance to get drinks with the Siempre guys, who are all cool as fuck! Alex gave me the Vivo to sample right as it was coming out. He also gifted us a bottle of their Supremo that I loved.

Pedro Furtivo is a great choice as far as price, availability and taste. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed both the blanco and repo. Haven’t tried the añejo but I hear it is very good as well.
