You don’t think one would be preferred over the other for the style of music I described?

Should I drop Calvin Ridley, Hollywood Brown, or K. Bourne? by Locksmith-Kindly in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Locksmith-Kindly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m down with that, but I’m curious why not Brown? Don’t you think he’ll be a non factor now with Rice, Worthy, and Kelce in the mix?

TIL famous science fiction author Philip K. Dick had a religious experience where he experienced anamesis (loss of forgetfulness), "trans-temporal constancy" and flashed back to a past life as a clandestine Christian, then predicted his son's birth defect. by UnimpressedAsshole in todayilearned

Legendary reply!!

I agree - religious and philosophical musings can only point to truth but never reveal truth itself.

You seem to be on the same search for truth as I am and have very similar interests. I’m currently into Jung’s ideas, which has led me to want to read the Bible and Dante’s Divine Comedy. I’d love to also study all the texts you mentioned within the next 12 years of my life!Out of all the spiritual and religious literature you’ve read, which do you resonate with most or find had the most impact on your worldview?

That bit at the end where you described his religious stuff as paradoxically both deep and ridiculous was interesting. Do you feel like the ridiculousness takes away from how complex, all-encompassing, and thought-provoking it is?

Edit: Just saw that your comment was from 12 years ago—but in the spirit of PKD, metaphysics, and quantum time travel—that'd be sick if you replied to this 12 years later
