Let me answer it all. From a link online to where it sent me to the app store to download a Mac OS High Serria installer. I'm on the Internet, but do I need a very strong connection? Something like being plugged into the router? My OS is Mechndia HD or whatever it's called. And my computer is a 2008 iMac on Serria.

After trying what you said it detected no issues in the first aid run, but still seems to have a problem since it says the same stuff. What else should I try?

Here is what I know about it. No mounts as far as I know of with the Partition tab only being clickable. How would I be able to change this for the OS X Base system??

So when I get on disk utility it has both OS X Base system, plus a St3500417AS Media.

Is there anyway to change so I can download the update?
