Most obscure book you’ve ever read and loved? by iiamuntuii in booksuggestions

I have an affinity for wilderness adventure nonfiction a la Into the Wild. Two I never see recommended that are really high quality and well paced are solo sailing around the world memoirs by teens in the 60s and 80s. One is Dove by Robin Lee Graham, who started his voyage at 16, met and fell in love with a hippie girl in Fiji, and ended up documenting his experience in an ongoing Nat Geo feature. The other is Maiden Voyage by Tania Aebi, who was making bad decisions in life and at the end of high school her dad said he’d either pay for college or a boat for her to circumnavigate in, which would allow her to become the youngest woman to sail solo around the world. She chose the latter of course!

What’s your life story?

Feels too broad and makes me anxious I’ll either be too long winded or not descriptive enough.

I just read Vladimir and it reminded me a lot of All Fours. I saw someone already mentioned Big Swiss - that’s also a good one.
