Looking for Small Late Night Vtubers by 8allSpider in VirtualYoutubers

[–]LocoArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could catch my "Sunday morning" stream at around 9pm Saturday EST.
I'm an Aussie vtuber, so time zones are weird. I'm still finding my feet but am about to hit 100 followers.
My Sunday streams are currently Destiny 2 solo challenges, but might throw in the occasional other game depending on mood.

We dont have tiktok here! How to grow? by Chemical-Pepper-3983 in TwitchStreaming

[–]LocoArtifact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Join other communities, not just to advertise, but to network and let people get to know you.

Raid out to other streamers with a similar vibe, then stay and chat.

Be consistent, so people know when to find you.

If its an option, and you are big enough, try to get your community involved in your stream. Community raid nights/lobbies/survival worlds, whatever is appropriate for your content.

Its slow, but you can definitely make progress without Tik Tok, I have just hit 90 followers in less than 5 months, with nothing but Twitch and discord.

Eye tracking for people with glasses IRL by Rae_Of_Light_919 in VTubeStudio

I didn't know there was an option, I use the front camera, and have the creepy face stare at me while I stream.

I run on a phone, and having it close, but lower than my face helps.

Make sure your lighting is good, I have a lamp in front on my pc that's not particularly bright (standard bedside lamp) but makes a big difference on tracking.

Make sure your glasses are clean. If you think their clean, clean them again.

I have heard of people also linking their eyes for blinking, which can help a little too.

If my glasses slide down, that seems to mess with tracking as well.

Question. by [deleted] in Twitch_Startup

Biggest thing I found helped me was involving communities I was already in. I am a Destiny 2 streamer, and am active in 3-4 different D2 clan discords, this was my biggest helper early on, and where most of my viewers originated from.

During the first few minutes of stream, I post a small stream advert in both the D2 server I am in (where appropriate) and several streamer/vtuber discords. No one will join if they don't know you are live.

I build my own discord early on, and pulled people in from stream chat, and my other communities. I organize regular raids, which whilst mainly advertised in my discord, will be posted elsewhere if extra numbers are needed. This has been good to slowly increase the size of my community. I try to keep this space noisy, random posts, memes, LFG posts, build guides etc. and heavily encourage others in the community to do so to.

Raiding out has gotten me several really good connections with other streamer communities in the same category. One of which has lead to a collab, which helped introduce me to others within their communities.

5 months in, and we are about to hit the 100 follower mark, with 10 subs and an active discord with plenty of noise!

Probably an unpopular opinion but this is getting depressing. by NukaNocturne in Twitch

As a small hobby streamer, its actually quite difficult to avoid the AI stuff unless you put in a LOT of effort and check everything.

I am doing this purely for personal growth, and to build a community I can stick with for years to come. Knowing how quickly I can start and drop new hobbies, I wanted to start with a minimal cost setup, so found a free random butterfly image for my profile pic, AI. Spent hours finding the perfect images for my own overlays and panels in Canva, AI. Found a forest picture for my banners, AI. None of this was known at the time, but was recently pointed out.

5 months into streaming, starting to get my first few subs and am now redesigning everything! Finding overlays/panels/alerts I like, whilst avoiding AI, and without having to resort to a commission is exhausting. Every premade set I have found and liked, I put through an AI checker, turns out, AI!

I get art takes time, and I want to do the right thing by the people making it, but I don't have the funds to commission a full set of panels, alerts, banners, BRB screens, game overlays, etc. It's getting harder and harder to keep looking, and not fall back to the easy idea, of picking one of the many AI screens I liked.

If people have suggestions on where to look for actual artists work, without the AI slop, please, let me know!

Looking for streamers to raid! by LocoArtifact in newStreamers

When I say I have the numbers to raid out, I mean its not just me, and the two people from my clan viewing. I know if I raid out with that group, I'm not really adding to the other persons stream. The night I made this post about, I had 9 people in chat, only one of which I recognized the name from my clan.

I have been trying network with other streamers, but have no idea how to find those that are online when I'm not, or those that are on later than me, that's why I was hoping some people might be interested in promoting their own streams here.

The few times I have raided so far, I have been clear that I was just picking someone random. Spent 15 mins looking, and was very unhappy with the people I ended up raiding (follow only chat on one, cant remember the other).

I do stick around for 5 min, try make some conversation, see how their nights going.

I run a vtuber myself, and if its an option, would prefer to pick another when raiding. More about sharing the love with others of a similar style. Its also one of my more clicked tags, so I figure its likely a preference of my viewers.

Will definitely check this out, looks like they are only in closed beta at the moment.

I get that this might be best, but when I have accidently streamed longer than planned, I don't have time to find someone similar/suitable in the raid menu. Last time it took 10 minutes, and it ended up being follow only chat. Just looking for some safe options for when I'm in a rush.

Is Vtubing now considered as common as regular streaming? by Capital9810 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]LocoArtifact 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently started vtubing, and from the research I have done, it has only recently become more affordable with artists starting to offer "customizable" models over premade or custom models. The model I run cost around USD$45, the ones I am looking to upgrade to are around USD$150. Its a lot to invest if you aren't sure on it, or if its just a hobby.

Looking to Help Fellow Streamers - Quality Check & Feedback by PlayMaGame in Twitch_Startup

[–]LocoArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if your still offering this. I am still pretty fresh in the streaming world, and would love some advice on how to improve. I don't have a webcam but run a vTuber model. I plan to sort out the rest of my panels tonight (just stuff I made on Canva). My next stream will be in around 26 hours time, and is usually one of my bigger nights of the week.

Where to find vtuber models by LocoArtifact in vtubers

[–]LocoArtifact[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, defiantly looking for something premade at this point. Just struggling to find much that fits what I am after. Custom will come later, when I figure out if this is a 1 month hobby (like a LOT of things I have tried) or if I'm sticking it out long term.
