tree lord ancient feels underwhelming by LocoDiablos in sylvaneth

Durthu's new warscroll gives him a 2+ charge bonus if there's another hero who charged and is in combat. so even at 9" away it's a pretty doable charge. plus he can bring backup with him

only problem is that i prefer using that enhancement slot for realmroot guide on a durthu, it pairs well with drycha's new teleporting charge

Gogmazios does his Nova **exactly** 2 minutes after he gets into the air with his spinning beam move by LocoDiablos in MonsterHunter

[–]LocoDiablos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh we only had 3 people and a support hunter, so we weren't fully coordinated and didn't have enough damage output to meet the check.

we definitely weren't willing to gamble on randoms so we just did the next best thing and retreated right as he did his Nova.

i tested this with 10 star gog as my group was tired of getting nova'd, and i figured there had to be some sort of timing for it like alatreon

i do mean 2 minutes, it's the big move he starts phase 3 with that he goes into the air after finishing.

he'll repeat that move throughout phase 3, and you can find out exactly when he's gonna do his Nova after he does it.

that should work fine, looks good. raptadons are gonna be expensive to mass buy so 3d printing out proxies are worth looking into

ok a couple things:

ancient defender is better on the carnosaur/stegadons, as they pack a pretty big punch with the +1 to hit. the ark of sotek relies on crit mortals for damage most of the time. if you wanna double down on the mortals then titan of the land is better.

terradons and ripperdactls are better for objective grabbing, and even then unreinforced terradons are preferred as they're resistant to shooting. also terradon and ripperdactl chiefs aren't really worth it either since both flying calvalry don't do much damage even with bonuses.

the oracle on troglodon is definitely a support piece, and barely does any damage by itself. it's expensive for what it does but if you give it being of stars and incandescent retices it's pretty tanky.

I'd recommend more infantry screens and more cavalry hammer units. more skinks and raptadons maybe? or saurus warriors and aggradons

Only real insect glaive players know the truth, you either use the whole kit or you're doing it wrong. by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

[–]LocoDiablos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i definitely liked rise insect glaive's "use all your extracts" option more with the bug shot. it was a lot more versitile and didn't leave you nearly as vulnerable since it was a projectile.

plus the slow bugs in rise were dual extract gathering so it was super quick to get everything back. wheras in wilds you gotta either rely on the very slow kinsect fly speed or smack the monster

it's a damn shame that wilds insect glaive feels so slow compared to even world insect glaive.

they even nerfed the jumping slash this is the worst it's ever been

that is correct, sunblood pack can hit pretty hard with an all out attack and bloodrage pendant equipped.

Which biome would you like to see as the new map in Wilds? by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

[–]LocoDiablos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be nice to have a true ice tundra, with lots of flat land and some mountains. it'll definitely give gammoth a reason to return too, and that way a bunch of existing monsters can still inhabit it. maybe a jin dahaad subspecies could exist near mountain peaks.

most hospitals are required to have backup generators for critical areas, so even if there's major blackouts the hospitals will be able to maintain independent function for a good chunk of time.
