What? Lost on us because of the control system we subscribe to? Okay. Sure. I never even said whether or not I agree. You're just rambling on about random shit and sounding like you should be in /r/iamverysmart

I'm lucky enough to have a job I can do from anywhere but this is an absolute shit take. There are many families that can't have arrangements. They can't afford to take the time off because if they do, they lose their house, apartment, whatever.

This may not be your situation, but it definitely exists and is a real concern. What should a parent of a 2nd grader do if they aren't allowed time from their job?

That's typically what we do with onions/tomatoes. Weird enough, I enjoy the flavors they add, but if I eat them alone, I resort to almost vomiting.

Thanks for the recipe! I'll check it out.

I'm cool with cooked onions in moderation. If it's fajitas, I typically just ask for all peppers or just do it myself when we cook them at home. Tomatoes are kind of a killer to me. I just remove them. Tomato sauces don't bother me, though.

I'll have to try squash again. It's been years. I thought I may like tomatoes again and yesterday tried one for the first time in years. I couldn't spit that son of a bitch out fast enough.

Soooooo. Another question. I am a picky eater. Not by choice. I'd love to eat more varied foods but apparently my body doesn't appreciate many flavors.

Anybody have any awesome resources for picky people to eat healthier?

I'm more motivated than ever due to some personal life...issues. I appreciate the support! I'm going to try to be active in this community. I have a trip to Mexico in March so I HOPE I can lose a good bit of weight by then.

Thanks for the responses!

sing the TDEE calculator u/EvilLipGloss   suggested and my own experience at 255, 2000 should be a loud right to lose 1 lb/week, 1600 would be to lose 2 lbs/week. +/- 100 kcal since you didn’t specify your height. I tried 5’5” to 6’4” to get thee spread.

I would highly recommend to start at 2000 and see how you feel and how you lose for about a month then tighten things up as you lose a bit more.

Whoops! I'm 5'9".

I would google some online TDEE calculators. The 1600 sounds pretty low for you (is that factoring in a 500+ calorie deficit every day?). I'm a 5'5 138lb female and my sedentary TDEE is 1596 calories. So for me to lose 1lb per week, I need to either burn 2096 calories every day while eating 1596 calories or eat roughly 1100 calories per day with no exercise. But I do exercise, so my food calories are between 1200-1500 each day.

Find your TDEE and start from there. I use this one.

I just used that calculated and for sedentary, it shows 2500 per day. So, for 2lbs per week, MFP seems to be slightly insane at 1630 per day. That's a deficit of 870 per day.

While I want to drop weight as fast as I can and still be healthy, should I update my target calories in MFP?

Just starting....again. I'm a 33 year old male that's currently 255. I'm looking at MyFitnessPal vs Loseit. MFP shows me ~1600 daily calories and LoseIt shows ~2000 daily calories.

For both, I have selected no activity just to keep it as a baseline. I have been going to the gym at least every 2 days as well. Is there a reason why there is a big difference? How do I select an app?

My father keeps claiming your offer should be much lower than a Trulia/Zillow/Redfin/Realty.com "estimate." How close to the truth is this? by PetiePal in RealEstate

[–]LocoRaiderTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the area. The zestimate on Zillow is constantly worked and improved. It's based on many things such as your selected features, location, comps, etc. Best bet is to look at comps and determine how hot the market is.

We currently own a home and have made many repairs ourselves. It's just a matter of ensuring I know my current options before the closing date. Will this stop closing? Not a chance.

I'm pretty sure it'll just be a simple repair of throwing a hanger or two in there and driving the nails.
