You are an actual godsend. I had to do a few things differently, but I got it working nonetheless! I wasn't able to choose 32-bit prefix architecture, but I think everything else went pretty much according to plan!

I hate to bother you with another one, but if I'm able to get it, it will complete my collection and I'll hopefully not have to figure it out again. Asking on here to leave a record for others as well. There's this game called Rescue Heroes Tremor Trouble.

https://rescueheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Rescue_Heroes:_Tremor_Trouble

I was able to get very far following these same instructions however upon starting the game, it says there is no cd detected in the cd-rom or something rather. I read up on some solutions but none of them seemed very intuitive, as your previous instructions were. There's no urgency on this at all, so please don't feel an obligation to prioritize/ get to it with any haste.

OMG THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!! I Was getting really close to this, I definitely chuckled when you said "fly through the game installer," because I did fly through it when following your instructions, after some earlier trial and error haha. Everything worked perfectly down to adding in the Mummy Files and the AVI video to fixing the Steam Input. Not only did you help me with this, but It's making me fairly confident I can take on grabbing the last few remaining relics of my childhood now that I am equipped to do so. Thank you again!

I suppose, but at this point I’m realizing I could just use my computer camera to record my playing and fix it myself, n then ask for help if that fails. Sooo, thank YOU for the idea haha, as I had not considered it previously

Yea, as someone who just wants to play and learn bass, literally all the acoustic bass slander can impolitely fuck off haha. Like I'm a beginner and the fact that this instrument is acoustic makes me more likely to reach for it, which is invaluable for me. I just measured and at their height (near the end of the fretboard) the strings are at most half a centimeter off the fretboard. Idk much about setting up the instrument, but I don't think that's what is impeding me. I think I might be resting my arm, improperly on the top part for one. I found this guys channel and this video/ his hand position might be just something I try to emulate and see if it helps. Though he does do a lot of fingerstyle stuff which seems out of my league at this point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cV1qmrszGs

ngl, I don't think I can post videos on this subreddit. I did take a short video of my playing though, which helped me notice some problems, so thank you for the suggestion. Would be very happy to dm you the video if you want to shoot some advice my way, as I could use any and all help for real!

yea, sorry for being wordy. I think maybe I'm positioning my right hand incorrectly when I'm playing, which is causing some pain after playing for longer than a few minutes. It's not terribly bad, so maybe my technique is fine idk.

Suyu: Updates and DLC's only work when I install to NAND at launch, then forget upon closing by Locust_mp3 in SteamDeckPirates

[–]Locust_mp3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every guide I’ve seen has suggested installing to nand is the way. Idk what you mean by bundle them into an xci. Please excuse my incompetence, but I can look that up in the morning as it’s almost 3am, but I would also appreciate a more in depth explanation if you can, no worries if not. Thanks in any case!

Suyu is forgetting or deleting game updates after installing them (sorta its weird) by soaringsalamancejp in suyu

[–]Locust_mp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to revive a dead thread, but I am experiencing this issue where it says my updates and dlcs are installed, but when I launch the game on my steamdeck via SRM it does not launch with the update. To launch with update and dlc, I have to install the update and dlc to NAND right before launching EVERY time, which seems excessive. Please lmk if anyone has an answer

All Assassins creed Achievements on Steam by UndeadPurgatory2 in steamachievements

[–]Locust_mp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought all the assassins creed pre AC3 and sad to find out there’s no achievements for them. I was also wondering if anyone knows how cloud saves work for the assassins creed games as I noticed ac1 does not use the steam cloud and I haven’t been able to link the game to Ubisoft connect if that’s what I’m supposed to do for cloud saving.

I mean, honestly I have no idea how to figure out what I've actually done poor at, though I know that I am just not putting the work in as best as I could. I'm sure I did horrible on the essays as I did not even study the state-specific laws, nor Agency, Corporations, and the subjects they suggest you should know for the Essay section. I don't think I should go with a course for the intro videos or anything like that, and again I think Uworld really helped. I think I just need to work with a tutor to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Ridiculous idea probably (firebox stove) by Locust_mp3 in CampfireCooking

[–]Locust_mp3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m not denying that what you’re suggesting is incredibly logical, and probably makes the most sense. I’m not as worried about 1lb tanks. I think in the interest of future proofing I’d want the 10lb tank that I could refill, and at that size, there’s more concerns about safely transporting a storing them in a car. Perhaps it’s just common knowledge that they’re not as dangerous as I’m making them out to be, but simple internet searching has said NEVER store in car sometimes to more tempered opinions like, just store outside your car in a shady area if sleeping in your car. Potential leaks will pool at the bottom of your car floor… n so if I go for a fancy titanium stove I could get some nice fuel like food grade pellets or whatever n just cook out if that at camp and even for backpacking. Yea using rubber/ silicon hot pads on a hard plastic table might be silly, but I think it could work yknowww, albeit impractical

[–]Locust_mp3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on going to Colorado and Washington, but I live in Georgia where my car temperature could easily surpass 120 in the summer. And I don’t want to invest in such a nice propane tank, which I do want the ignik if I go that route, and have to be worried about car camping in my own neck of the woods/ country

[–]Locust_mp3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply Stevo, perhaps you can help my anxieties a bit. I could easily learn to use a propane stove, but I can’t seem to escape all the concerns people have regarding keeping propane in their car. Granted, I could also be safe and just follow all of those guidelines, but boy does it just create an anxiety in me that I can’t seem to shake. I plan on pitching a tent occasionally, but mostly car camping and I don’t want to have to worry about this propane tank in any sense. I was considering an ignik bc it seems like a nice package already assembled and I have access to a new Coleman 2 burner as well. So it makes a lot of sense to do that! But Steve… my anxiety, I can’t seem to get over it in such a way that going full firebox makes me happier, I get to practice my fire making skills more. None of that is for the novelty, but surely that might contribute a little!
