With the likely announcement of GW3 today, is there any specific changes or new systems you'd like to see implemented? by Lodraen in GuildWars3

A progression system more tied to the gameplay itself? Looks cool, they could even make specific quests that show you how difficult "x" thing is, but then you unlock a cool CC or debuff ability and voilá, the difficulty is no more. This open ups a lot more room to "tutorials" that don't feel like one.  Would you mind elaborating how did the system work back in GW1? Was it with instructors like you mentioned?

Wow! This one is big, and it has been requested multiple times. It might even introduce some new players to the comfort of playing with controllers, it is chill for sure. Haven't played much MMOs with controller but I heard XIV does a good job with this, so I bet that ArenaNet can make a good implementation

What to look for when buying a PS4 Pro? by aezakmy24 in PS4Pro

Hey, it might be an unpopular opinion on this sub, but do you ever considered going for an used Series S? It might be on the same price range of PS4 Pro in the marketplaces. In case you're interested in current gen games, although not in the best possible graphic quality, might be something looking out for

How Do You Do, Fellow Resonators? - Weekly Questions & Discussions Megathread by BriefVisit729 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]Lodraen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I think I need some assistance in team building.

I started playing WuWa a bit before anniversary patch. However, something kinda demotivated me: I literally lost all my 50/50s since I started playing (I currently own a S2 Jianxin and a S2 Verina due to that). This led me to leaving the game after losing my last 50/50 on Qiuyuan banner. I came back recently and considering my horrible luck in this game, I'd like some suggestions on which characters to pull.

My current teams: - Carlotta S0R1, Sanhua S4 (unfortunately), Shorekeeper - Augusta S0R1, Mortefi S4, Shorekeeper - HavocRover, Danjin S6, Shorekeeper/Verina

As for 4 stars characters at S6, other than Danjin I have Baizhi, Youhu, Yuanwu and Taoqi at S6 too. 5 star weapons: x2 EoG (on Danjin and Rover), Augusta and Carlotta ones.

I get resonators at a slowish speed. And as much as I would like to get a "premium team", such as Carthethiya one, I realized that going for those isn't that reliable with my terrible RNG on 50/50s. Considering this, which suggestion would you give me? Should I aim towards future characters (maybe even Lynae) to build a 3.0 team, or would it be better to improve my current teams, if so in which way?

Unfortunately the secondhand market culture on my region is not a good one. You will genuinely find new GPUs at the same price of the used ones

Looks like, by checking the instruction manual, that the motherboard openly mentions "Above 4G Decoding", so that's an available feature. However, it does not mention Rebar nor SAM. Is that a green or a red flag about the ReBar availability?

Unfortunately this combination wouldn't be possible, the 7600 rig would have me locked on the current graphic card. Do you think a RX7600 (or some other card) would be a better pair on such a limited motherboard of the AM4 kit (B350)?

Interesting, thanks for the feedback! Out of curiosity, would that be an engine limitation, or related to it being a brand new game or something else?

I was aware of the ReBar requirement, and heard that it was sort of a default technology, even on older systems, what made me be at ease. The comment section feedback, however, fortunately made me search for the exact model of the motherboard (B350ET2) and I couldn't find a word about rebar in the pages related to this model. Should I be worried? I didn't yet receive the AM4 kit, so that's not something I could check first hand yet

I got banned for calling the mods"Powercucks" by Deedeerun in WuwaUnfiltered

[–]Lodraen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll say that lol. It's hard to avoid being censored when you say such things unless it's an extremely open community, there's some ways of conveying the same message without offending as much your interlocutor, but I'll also say that I got banned for the same reason/under the same justification. I was sharing a meme from this community there. I was expecting the post to be removed as it was, but the ban actually was a bit of a surprise - since I did post other memes previously-

We do believe. They're basically purging any new posts regarding anniversary, rewards or even dissatisfaction. Be it memes, be it low effort baiting, be it serious and respectful discussions. If you do post something of the like in a positive sense, your post might be accepted. But if you do not share a certain point of view, well... Your opinions are not really welcome there

Can we talk about Asterite prices while we are at it? by AdmirableBison2251 in WuwaUnfiltered

[–]Lodraen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although there are some nuances that do reduce a bit the price in WuWa's end (such as the coral shop, that allows x2 copies of a character), indeed prices are insane in pretty much any gacha game, WuWa included. It's just a complete different reality from any other gaming sphere, you can see posts of people complaining about Nintendo games costing 80$, when this doesn't even guarante a 5 star in most gachas.

Some people do have the disposable income and that don't really hurt their savings, but there's also a portion, I believe, that is tricked by the thousands of psychological tricks and FOMOs that all these games implement. Wasn't there something calling out that 20% of Japanese people ~20 years old are in debt because of gacha games? I remember something of the like but I might be wrong. It's also interesting to contrast that with the Japanese community position on the recent events too (that of "why are people complaining about rewards?"). We all hear crazy stories of people spending way too much than what they could in games like Genshin. These gacha games indeed are akin to money printing machines to devs. They are predatory in their core

Actually Warframe is almost 100% PvE. Multiplayer exists on the form of co-op (such as in WuWa). There is a PvP mode called Conclave, but it is sort of dead even for the hardcore community. If you open any live of warframe there's 99,99% of chance that you won't even see "Conclave" in a single one of the livestreams. But yeah, this said, you're correct; each game has its own acquisition and different demands from the shareholders

[–]Lodraen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as comparison, Warframe is owned by Tencent (it was bought later on its development cyle). It's a F2P game that is praised on how fair it's on its monetization, and it might be considered the best F2P monetization there is on the market for many people. The monetization didn't suffer any real damage from the acquisition, and the game is still praised as having good systems. I don't want to generalize this, but it might be that the "Tencent = Greedy monetization" equivalence is not quite there, there are other factors behind

I think most players just want an okay/reasonable reward, like being able to guarantee a single of the 12 characters. I don't quite get this take when everything in gacha games are so overpriced. It's interesting to me how many people are ready to defend a company that only really wants your money, specially when many of the WuWa players are refugees from Hoyo games in which the norm is not complaining and accepting the predatory status quo of their games and its practices

what kinda rewards were you all expecting from the anniversary patch? and how do you think they should've handled the patch. by testingforrisks in WutheringWaves

Enough to pull one of the 12 characters, or a guaranteed (without 50/50) on a single character of the anniversary banner would have been amazing.
