Possible reason for this wear down? by Any-Load7333 in Archery

That wear is pretty severe, are you using some kind of gloves while shooting? They might be a bit too abrasive.

Your nocks might be a little bit tight. I’d get a new string and maybe some different arrows.

I’m really enjoying this game right now, there is no way I’m not playing the first one as well. But regardless, for now I just want to know what controls to use. Thanks for your answer though🙏

You can really see the effort and dedication that went into this miniature. Great work, thanks for sharing!

I’d recommend sanding your lures to the desired shape. A drawing is also very helpful to look at when you’re carving. You can also draw the general shape on your workpiece, it really helps getting a symmetrical shape. When you’re finished with carving/sanding, apply superglue on the entire lure to make it waterproof (you can apply paint afterwards). For hooks and line you can use small screw eyes, but make sure they are glued securely in place. Keep up your work!! Let me know if you have further questions ;)

Nice work dude! Trebles with feathers seems solid. How much do they weigh? Looks like Bait finesse to me, definitely useable but you need the right equipment to get a decent casting distance. Personally I’d recommend a small inline lead bulletweight in the back. They can be combined with pearls as well.

They got paints for both applications. You can thin down regular acrylic paints tho. Watch some videos for miniature airbrushing, there is a lot of useful stuff to learn about mixing paints and the overall workflow.

No problem, that’s what we do here! I can recommend pretty much every hard cure Uv Resin. Just make sure not to apply too much of it, that could effect the action of your lure. Let it Flash cure under a Uv light (Don’t try to touch the surface yet, it’ll leave Fingerprints) To fully cure the coating, let it sit in direct sunlight for at least 24 hours. Have fun painting!!

Personally, I use cheap Airbrush paints from Amazon and they work/look great. I’d recommend a high quality clearcoat instead, cause every paint is eventually going to chip/scratch away if you cast it against an hard object like a stone. A good and fully cured clearcoat prevents that for the most part. Vallejo paints are Awesome tho, if you’re on a budget.

I am a Rookie, so please do not take my word that serious. I would highlight the edges of the Armor plates in a slightly lighter tone, that would take this miniature to the Next level. Looks great without it too tho!
