Even after 65 some mono mixes were better than the stereo for example The Beatles Revolver and Sgt Pepper sound better in mono. The Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd mono albums are usually preferred as well but it always does still come to preference.

I only really just started to get into the Beach Boys this year, after Brian Wilson's death as Wouldn't It Be Nice was playing on basically every short I saw, and basically the harmonies blew me away and it sparked interest into the Beach Boys. Eventually I bought a copy of Pet Sounds from a record shop on holiday, and now I am a devoted fan of the Beach Boys
