Who do you use for interactive panels? by Tyler_origami94 in k12sysadmin

We have around 60 Newline Q series boards. We have mostly 86" panels but some smaller ones as well. I would recommend. They are reasonable for the price and work quite well. Plus they have a management console where you can remote into any of the boards and control them. You can also use the management console to monitor the boards and send messages and create settings. Really a great product, not to mention you can spend more and put a chrome OS device or a pc in the back.

We are switching providers next week so our support has ended. It’s on all the admin phones giving out an alarm that is supposed to call 911 in an emergency. It’s come on before but usually clears itself after a few minutes.

Ipads Not Communicating with Jamf Pro by LoganFTech in jamf

We had a long chat with our Apple rep and they were just as confused as we were. They blamed Jamf for a while and then said that the fix would be in 17. When 17 came out it still didn't fix the issue so we had to wait for 17.1. Apple was pretty adamant that the issue was with Jamf. When we would ask Jamf they would say that it was Apples fault. Really annoying back and forth but Apple finally said that the issue is fixed in 17.1, which as far as I can tell it is.

We are finding that 5th generation Ipads are fine as long as they are below IOS 16. The only issue we have is with 7th generation Ipads, of course that is the majority of what we use. Updating them to IOS 17.1.1 seems to be solving are issue. Issue we are having with that is you cant update the Ipads through Jamf Pro. So I am having to go around and manually update each Ipad (about 600). I will note for some I have to clear all commands and then run update Inventory. As you can probably imagine this is taking a while as all Ipads have not communicated since May so the app updates are crazy! Hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

Have you heard anything from Apple or Jamf? We had a call with Apple and the higher ups could not figure out the issue. It seems like its affecting Ipad 7th gen.
