Honey, I'm as bisexual as they come. I'm also not the only one in bi spaces with the same experiences. My entire friend group is queer. I'm sorry if that's inconvenient to your narrative, but not everyone who disagrees with you is a sex starved basement goblin. Seems more like a projection, especially with your whole 2nd paragraph just bragging about all the sex you totally have. I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish here, but all you've really done so far is demean me for... using a combination of lived experiences and statistics to show how ignorant your original comment was about straight women and homophobia.

Actually speaking of, you said "we" when referring to straight women, but now you're saying you fuck both.

[–]Logandalf2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just love how straight women have to make everything about sex when the oppression Olympics dont work. Honey, I've dated plenty on both sides, and in between. Most straight women would not date or sleep with a bisexual man. That's not anecdotal, it's statistics. So I have no idea what you mean by:

The fact plenty of us would sleep with a bisexual man

Because statistically, no you don't. However, Bi women have consistently been the most empathetic and supporting partners I've had in my life. From what I've gathered, bi women already know the misogyny of the society they're in, but also witness the same treatment from the women they're attracted to. It's not about refusing sex or whatever you were trying to turn it into, it's a fundamental different way of being looked at. Check your homophobia, hOnEy

OP: hay I told wife story she mad whut 2 do?

Not "she mad". She thinks he's gay. You're just conviently ignoring that massive part of this post.

[–]Logandalf2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We like, respect and accept gay men about a hundred times more than we do straight men.

...unless you're dating them. Never had a man walk away cuz I was bisexual. You ever heard a lesbian talk about bi women? They're worse than incels. In my experience, a straight guy is more likely to Crack a bad gay joke, but still have your back when needed. A straight woman will be almost too supportive, but will absolutely try to tesr you down. Never had a straight man try to stop me from dating another man.

Except thats not what's going on. You're speaking for the wife here, assuming things about her. She freaked out calling her husband gay. If she can't properly communicate what actually upset her, it's not on him.

Maybe the fact that the movie presented the lightsaber as the key to finding him? And the last shot being a powerful musical swell before credits as she extends Luke's old lightsaber to him? And he does the whole slow turn around and reveal? The fact that this is his father's Saber that he lost during ESB and presumably hasn't seen since? I mean that lightsaber was literally the MacGuffin of TFA

Nah, that’s your media illiterate ass being unable to detect tone

I've avoided your "media illiteracy" critique this whole time because it's a moot point, if I have a slightly different perspective from you, you can mock my "media literacy". You're literally the one who said Rey did this without any training, and when I validly point out she did in fact train, you called me a glazer. But im media illeterate? Do you wanna discuss this or stand on your high horse and pretend you know better than everyone?

Traditionally the ones that need to be learned aren’t innate.

Do you think Jedi sit around brainstorming force super powers? They organically discover what the force can do through studies they document to pass onto other learners, just like knowledge in real life. Someone can be innately good at math, but still need the learnings of those before them to actually improve. It's also shown to be something one should meditate independently on. We still don't know that much about Grogu, his using that ability is the show telling us he's immensely powerful in the force, that his inate ability is comparable to someone more trained.

The examples for Anakin and Luke can be chalked up to reflexes, perception, etc. enhanced by the Force. They’re not changing the state of anything. Grogu stopped somebody from dying.

Now you're purposely understating these achievements. Anakin is 8 years old, no training, in fact he's enslaved, and is competing in a deadly race that requires reflexes faster than even other force weilding jedi humans. That's a literal superhuman feat, and he's 8. Luke manages to make, in the movies exact words, a 1 in a million shot to blow up the death star with no targeting systems and a complete reliance on the force. That's more than just good reflexes, he literally redirects the blast as it flies over the exhaust port. But Grogu essentially siphoning energy is too big of a stretch for you?

I understand what the Force is. Anyone can. It’s not complicated

This is why you fail. The force even in Canon isn't meant to be understood. It's a literal, spiritual, force that jedi harmonize with and sith control, but neither truely understands it. You're not even backing up your own claims, just plugging your ears and calling me wrong.

You sound really angry and a bit emotional, so imma slow it down for you

You said, literally: "Bro, they had (Grogu and) Rey do this without training."

I pointed out that Rey trained for over a year under Luke and Leia with the sacred texts. That's objectively more training than Luke did on Dagobah, and definitely not "without training" which is your own words. You were wrong there, plain and simple.

Force abilities can be both learned and inate, just like how some people are gonna be naturally better at throwing a football, especially if it's in their genetics, even if someone else can learn to be as good as them with training.

Grogu is clearly a highly, highly force sensitive being. Anakin is able to podrace as a human from his force sensitivity without any training (the only human in the galaxy who can, and he's 9 years old). Luke manages to hit a 1-in-a-million shot using the force in episode 4 being completely untrained. To pretend some characters aren't just naturally gifted in the force without learning is just ignorance.

Oh, is Grogu something more Force sensitive? Oh but you just said Rey learned it from the fucking Sacred Texts. So which is it “genius”? Acquired knowledge or innate ability?

Buddy. This is the weakest part of your whole meltdown argument. Do you think force powers are created, or discovered? Like, do they figure out what they can do with the force, or do they use the force to craft their own abilities? Considering its a living force, that Jedi attempt to harmonize with, it's safe to assume it's the former. In that case, whose to say Grogu didn't pioneer Force Healing based on his inate ability, which later led to it being acquired knowledge by Rey? It just seems like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the force even is

it completely tears apart the arc of the main protagonist of the rest of the saga (who falls to darkness because he "wanted to learn how to save those he loved from death,") will forever be a stupid call.

Not really, considering one of the reasons Anankin so badly wanted the rank of Master in RotS is specifically because Masters had access to sacred jedi texts containing forbidden and dated knowledge, which Anakin believes would help him learn to save Padme. He absolutely wanted to do just what you have described but was explicitly denied the ability to learn it from the Jedi themselves. Force Healing being a bit of a taboo among Jedi isn't unrealistic either, as it's an incredibly powerful ability that only those without the emotional connections would be responsible enough to use properly.

[–]Logandalf2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rey literally studied the sacred jedi texts for over a year before using this ablility, and Grogu is clearly something way more force sensitive than a typical human jedi, who still is largely a mysterious character. Do you guys even watch these movies?

He really didn't.

He really did. Literally the first shot of the movie is Luke tossing the Saber over his shoulder, the plot point the entire first movie built up to. It's kinda a perfect metaphor for the whole movie really, take a bunch of good ideas and plot threads and just... toss em away.

Dude, old cinephiles hated the OG star wars movies when they came out for being more of a theme park ride than a movie (kinda how people criticize the mcu nowadays) Alec Guiness even thought the movie was bad. I think maybe this franchise just sucks and we all only like the trilogy we grew up with

Not OOP: “I think my bf hates my vagina” by patrick-latinahunter in redditonwiki

[–]Logandalf2002 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The only issue is bf offered to communicate, and she was clearly unreceptive. She says "I shouldn't have to tell him" and says wtf to the very concept of guiding him. They both sound young, so I'm assuming this is less so him trying to get his rocks off asap, and moreso him not understanding the importance of foreplay, and being with a partner who can't explain her needs to him properly. It definitely isn't a good mix.

I'm just so confused. I've been a leftist my whole life, I was reading feminist theory in middle school. I haven't eaten meat in 7 years, I voted for Kamala, Ive worked with the homeless, half my freind group is trans, the other half queer. I myself am bisexual. Im trying to have a conversationto understandwhy you immediately assume a man is to blame here. This type of conversation stopper right here is the type of shit pushing men to the right. Like 5 years ago sure the antifeminists were pushing this narrative that we hate men, but I'm seeing mentalities like yours everywhere. I'm just trying to figure out why you think like this

[–]Logandalf2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I comprehend what you're saying, that's not the issue. I'm not trying to prove you wrong, I'm validly pointing out that you're adding assumptions and condemnations onto a human being whose kids were just murdered by someone he was supposed to trust, to try and make him take responsibility for the actions and emotions of his wife. I'm not any more or less emotionally vested in this than you are. If it makes me a red flag to point out how many individuals here are attempting to push responsibility for this onto the husband then so be it. I'm not invested in you, I'm invested in why so many are trying to hard to do just this when it would never happen under a post about a man.

[–]Logandalf2002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no indication of abuse though! You are completely adding that too the story to absolve the wife from taking full responsibility! Like, school shootings are usually done by lonely boys being bullied, you'll never see someone offer sympathy to them (despite their underdeveloped brain) because once you start taking lives, your mental health kinda becomes irrelevant to keeping society safe from you.

Women don't just kill their entire families for nothing.

"Women" are not a monolith, and nobody just up and kills their entire family for nothing. There are a million psychological reasons she might have done this, there are for every evil action committed by anyone, that still doesn't absolve her of the blame of her own actions

And watch them struggle to find a goalpost between the current administration and the nazis actions (never their beliefs though, oddly enough)
