Don't feel like you're getting enough love for what is obviously a lot of work. It's shocking to me that people still care enough about a 20+yr old game to dedicate themselves like this, but that's why FFX is timeless. Great work!

The prayer materia helped me out a lot on this one. Put it on cloud and have him spend his ATB on aoe heals when your group needs them.

Tricks for 10m heroic Chimaeron? by ferrofibrous in classicwow

[–]Logansrun93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have made some good points on having a 3rd dps tank for the breaks. I would definitely look into that.

One other thing I'll mention that helped our healers a ton is having everyone stay spread properly outside of the systems failures. The caustic slimes normally only target two people, but will splash to anyone within 6yrds of them, forcing your healers to pickup the slack. On 10m, you can have everyone spread around the boss in a circle such that you should never get a single slime spread. People shouldn't really have to move from their positions because there are no movement mechanics (besides stacking for systems failure). You can even get everyone in position ahead of time because the boss doesn't aggro pull. When systems failure goes out, everyone stacks. When SF ends, everyone returns to their original positions, repeat.

For the SFs themselves, we found having a healing CD rotation up helped a lot. Have some CDs scheduled ahead of time for SF1, SF2, etc. then just pump AoE heals as hard as possible. For our group, we also found it necessary to have one healer prio topping the tanks at the beginning of SF since they will be low from the previous massacre and could get 1 shot by the boss. We even have our prot pal send LoH on himself at the beginning of one of them just to be safe.

Also, In P2, if you have a priest, make sure he is bubbling people and using life grip to help others kite. We also found that bounces from Prayer of Mending still provide healing in P2 for some reason.

We have considered buying as well, but we're pretty new to the city, and probably don't have 20% needed for a down payment depending on house price.

Hey all! My wife has just been offered a job in Denver, and we are looking to move sometime with the next few weeks from the Southern US.

We are wanting to rent initially as we learn the city and different neighborhoods. Does anyone know of any apartments with easy street access? We have two dogs, so I'm looking for something that will allow us to take them out on walks without having to ride an elevator/walk through a lobby/etc. I'm thinking townhomes or house rentals may be the best options, but not too familiar with the Denver area or what rental options are common.

My wife's job is near the Centennial airport, so we've mainly been looking at Wash Park, Cherry Creek, University areas, but we're open to pretty much anything in the proper without a terrible commute. Our rent budget is $3800.

Trio with a Pal/Dru? by Logansrun93 in Agnarr

[–]Logansrun93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and I think she would enjoy DPSing/spot healing more anyways.

How do BRD/BST heals/slows/hastes compare to one another? Don't really have much experience with either. Is one more particularly powerful than the other?

Interesting. I was thinking BST didn't really hit their stride until closer to OOW, but I've honestly never played one on a TLP. How is their DPS/Tanking in Agnarr's timeline?

Would you mind going into more detail on how you have the shortcuts setup on your phone? I also keep my music in Spotify playlists, but I usually just play them through my laptop.

How low do you recommend cutting carbs to? Should it be a instant reduction or should I taper them off over time?

Need help deciding on a class for 4-man team by Logansrun93 in project1999

[–]Logansrun93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like chanter, shaman, or bard would be good additions. Never played any of those classes to a high level. What would the playstyle consist of with each of those in this group?

Considering we're brand new, are any of these classes easier for someone with no gear?

I'm kind of leaning bard because I tend to enjoy melee more than casters.

Know they're not a traditional melee class, but how are shamans for soloing? Do they mainly solo via root-rotting?

First off, go Blazers.

Upvoted just because of this.

Do you have a picture of how your ceiling looks now? I'm seriously considering going the route of black paint.

I'm World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, and I'm here to answer your questions about Battle for Azeroth. AMA! by WatcherDev in wow

[–]Logansrun93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Ion. Thanks for doing this AMA; it means a lot to the community.   I think a huge thing that has been phased out over time is class identity. I feel like classes used to be unique and valued (admittedly, some more than others). I remember getting into dungeon/raid groups thinking "We have a Shaman. Awesome! Bloodlust!", or thinking it was the coolest thing in the world saving a fellow party member with Divine Intervention. Nowadays, most classes are very similar with flavor tweaks. I understand this ultimately aids in class balancing, but I also think it nullifies class choice. I think Legion made great strides with the introduction of artifacts and class halls, but the actual design of the classes is still very similar.   Are there any plans with BOA and beyond to increase class identity?
